1840 Benjm Bowman lived in Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (15 thru 19) and 2 (20 thru 29); and females: 1 (20 thru 29). [1]

1850 Benjamin Bowman (age 33) and Lovina (age 31) lived in Brecknock, Berks County, Pennsylvania with children Eliza (age 8), Susan (age 6), Lidia (age 4), and Nancy (age 1). [2] [3] [4]

1860 Benjamine Bowman (age 43, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Brecknock Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Lavinia Bowman (age 41), Eliza Bowman (age 18), Susan Bowman (age 16), Lydia Bowman (age 15), Ann Bowman (age 12), Isaac (age 9), Noah Bowman (age 7), and Leah Bowman (age 4). Benjamine was a farmer. [5] [6]

1861 Benjamin Bauman died on November 13 and was buried at Allegheny Mennonite Cemetery, Alleghenyville, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Benjamin Bauman was born on December 16, 1816. [7] [8]

1862 The will of Benjamin Bowman in Berks County, Pennsylvania, was indexed with Executors Solomon Weber and Jacob Mosser. Berks County Will book 11-104. [9]

1870 Lovina Bowman (age 51, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Brecknock Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Nancy Bowman (age 21), Israel Bowman (age 19), Noah Bowman (age 17), and Leah Bowman (age 15). Lovina Bowman was a farmer. [10]

1880 Lovina Bowman (age 61, born in Pennsylvania, widowed), mother, lived in Brecknock Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Noah Bowman (age 27), Susanna Bowman (age 28), Lydia Bowman (age 6), Anna Bowman (age 5), Lovina Bowman (age 3), Joseph Bowman (age 2), and Sussanna Bowman (age 8/12). Lovina Bowman's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. Lovina Bowman was a boarder. [11]

1881 Lovina Bauman died on October 8 and was buried at Allegheny Mennonite Cemetery, Alleghenyville, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Lovina Bauman was born on January 29, 1819. [12] [13]

1890 Documents from the probate records of Lydia Huber, daughter of Jacob Good, and her deceased spouse Christian Huber named collateral heirs of both Christian Huber and Lydia Huber. A document dated June 2, 1890, named collateral heirs. [14] A translation of the will of Christian Huber clarifies that the heirs of Christian were all descendants of his sister Anna. 1892 Susanna Musser Bowman Gehman died on June 7 and was buried at Gehmans Mennonite Cemetery, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Susanna Musser Bowman Gehman was born on September 22, 1843, daughter of Benjamin Bowman and Lavina Musser. [17] [18] [19]

1899 Israel Musser Gehman died on December 12 and was buried at Gehmans Mennonite Cemetery, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Israel Musser Gehman was born on March 14, 1844. [20]

1928 Noah M Bowman died on May 3 in Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was born on October 7, 1852, in Pennsylvania, son of Benjamine Bowman and Musser. [21]

1932 Israel Bowman died on September 23 in East Earl Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was born on September 6, 1850, in Pennsylvania, son of Benjamin Bowman and Lavina Musser. [22]

1932 Israel M. Bowman died on September 17 and was buried at Allegheny Mennonite Cemetery, Alleghenyville, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Israel M. Bowman was born on September 6, 1850. [23] [24]

1934 Leah Horst, spouse of Mathias Horst, died on June 1 in Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She was born on November 26, 1854, in Pennsylvania, daughter of Benjamin Bowman and Lavina Musser. [25]

1939 Lydia M Zimmerman, spouse of Israel W Zimmerman, died on June 3 in Upper Leacock Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She was born on June 29, 1845 in Pennsylvania, daughter of Benjamin Bowman and Levina Musser. [26]

A biosketch reports [27]:

Benjamin Bowman, son of Joseph and father of Israel M. and Noah M., was born Dec 16, 1816, and he passed his entire life engaged at farming and milling, owning the Bowman Mill in Brecknock township, and becoming very-well-to-do. He died Nov. 13, 1861, and was buried at the Allegheny Meeting House. He was a consistent folower of the Mennonite teachings. He married Elizabeth Mosser, who was born Jan. 29, 1819, daughter of John Mosser. She died Oct. 8, 1881, aged sixty-two years, eight months, nine days, the mother of nine children, namely: Eliza, born Jan. 29, 1842; Susanna, Sept. 22, 1843; Lydia, June 29, 1845; Anna, Nov. 5, 1848; Israel M., Sept. 6, 1850; Noah M., Oct. 7, 1852; Leah, Nov. 26, 1854; Lovina, Feb. 1, 1858 (died Feb. 22, 1858); and Benjamin, April 8, 1859 (died June 18, 1860).

1834 Benjamin Bowman of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, age 17, was issued a Seaman's Protection Certificate at Newport, Rhode Island. [38] [39]
