1689 Emmanuel Herr was born about this time. [1] [2]

1717 Three ships arrived in Philadelphia with Mennonite passengers. Emanuel Herr has been named as being on one of the ships [3] [4].

1717 Emanuel Herr warranted land in Pennsylvania. [5]

c 1718 Emanuel Herr married, in Pennsylvania, Madlena Breckbill, daughter of Benedict Breckbill.

1718 Imanuel Heer 20 [pounds] £0.5.0 appeared on the tax list for Conestogoe Rate, Dutch Inhabitants, Chester County, Pennsylvania. [6]

1725 On 11 November, Emanuel Herr, of Strasburg Twp, Lancaster County, bought 530 acres from Martin Kendig. [7]

1740 Emanuel Herr died at Wheatland Hills, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [8] [9]

His two sons John and Emmanuel were the executors of his estate in 1742. They were also the guardians over the estates of his two minor children Martin and Elizabeth.

1745 Lancaster Orphans' Court 12 Sept 1745: Upon application of John Hare and Emanuel Hare, two of the sons of Emanuel Hare deceased, on behalf of themselves and the other children of said Emanuel, that the estate may be appraised and guardians appointed for Martin and Elizabeth Hare, both minors. It is appointed that Martin Myley Jr, Henry Shank, Henry Kindig, Daniel Fieree Jr, Daniel Carpenter, and Michael Grove do appraise said estate. And it is further ordered that John Hare Jr and Christian Hare are appointed guardians over Martin and Mary Hare. The estate was appraised at twelve hundred poinds. John Hare proposed to retain the real estate and pay off the respective shares. [10]

1758 On April 20, heirs of Emanuel Hare of Strasburg Twp, miller, deceased, released land from the estate to eldest son John Hare. The other heirs were Emanuel Hare and wife Mary, Jacob Carpenter and wife Elizabeth, Christian Carpenter and wife Susanna. [11]

1759 On October 5, Daniel Carpenter and wife Mary released their share of the estate of Emanuel Hare to eldest son John Hare. [12]

1761 A land patent was issued to John Hare, son of Emanuel Hare, for the land that he had inherited from the estate of Emanuel, because when the land patent was originally issued to Martin Kindig and Emanuel Hare, they were both aliens born out of the dominion of England and were ineligible to receive a land grant. The other heirs were named in the patent. [13]

Emmanuel Herr married Maudlin Brackbill. Revised edition names Benedict as Maudlin (Magdalena) Brachbill's father. [14] [15] [16] [17]
