Notes for Henry Miller and Elgie

1900 On June 20, Henry (age 28) and Elgie (age 28) Miller lived in Center, Buchanan County, Missouri. They were both born in December 1871 in Missouri and had been married 3 years. Their daughter Lydia was born in July 1898. Henry was a farmer. Henry's parents were born in Germany, and Elgie's were born in Iowa. Nephew Henry Miller (age 17, born Feb 1883) was living with them and worked as a farm laborer. Nephew Henry and both of his parents were born in Missouri. Also living in the household was a servant Ace Burton (age 42, born in Kentucky) who worked as a farm laborer. [1] [2] [3] [4]

1906 Henry L. Miller died on May 28 and was buried in Agency Cemetery, Agency, Buchanan County, Missouri. [5]

1910 On April 18, Elgie Miller (age 38), a widow, with daughter Lyda (age 11) and son Myers (age 9), lived in St. Joseph Ward 6, Buchanan County, Missouri. All three were born in Missouri., and the father of the children was also born in Missouri. Elgie's parents were born in Iowa. [6] [7]

1920 On January 6, widow Elgie Miller (age 48) lived in St. Joseph Ward 4, Buchanan County, Missouri. She was born in Missouri and her parents were born in Iowa. Her children were Lida M. (age 21) and Myers M. (age 19), both born in Missouri, as was their father. [8] [9]

1927 Elgie Miller died on Sept. 22 and was buried in Agency Cemetery, Agency, Buchanan County, Missouri. [10] The memorial inscription for Henry and Elgie is
