Notes for Johann Ludwig Müller and Friederika Kungle

1854 Louis Müller (age 22), a farmer from Wurttemberg, arrived in New Orleans on 1 May 1854 on the ship Manchester from La Havre. Near him on the passenger list was Christian Schäfer (age 13). [1]

1857 Ludwig Müller and Frederika Kungle were married on January 22 in Buchanan County, Missouri. [2]

1860 On September 14, Ludwick (age 28) and Frederica (age 29) Miller lived in Center, Buchanan County, Missouri. They were born in "Wertenberg." The value of Ludwick's real estate was $4200 and the value of his personal estate was $450. Their children were John (age 2) and Charles (age 4/12), both born in Missouri. [3] [4]

1870 On September 24, Lewis (age 39) and Frederica (age 40) Miller lived in Center, Buchanan County, Missouri. They were born in Wurttemberg. Lewis was a farmer. The value of his real estate was $4500, and the value of his personal estate was $500. Two children were listed in the household: John (age 12) and Charles (age 10), both born in Missouri. Preceding this household on the census page is that of James (age 40) and Mary (age 35) Miller, both born in Wurttemberg with children John (age 12), Mary (age 9), Louisa (age 7), Willie (age 5), Caroline (age 9), Emma (age 4), Anna (age 1), and Charles (age 10), all born in Missouri. James was a farmer and the value of his estate was the same as that of Lewis. The next household was that of Max (age 50) and Eliza (age 60) Tearley, both born in Wurttemberg. [5]

c 1872 Fridirike Müller was buried in Ashland Cemetery Saint Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri. The inscription is "Fridirika Muller, 1832-1870." [6] Perhaps this gravestone was added later. Youngest son Henry was born in December 1871 (age 8 in the 1880 census, age 17 in 1889 in his great uncle's estate papers).

1876 Louis Müller and Ottilie Binnicker were married in St. Joseph, Buchanan, Missoui. [7]

1880 On June 3, Louie (age 48) and his wife Otella (age 37) Miller lived in Center, Buchanan County, Missouri. They were both born in Wurttemberg, as were their parents. The children, all born in Missouri and listed as sons and daughters of Louis, were John (age 22), Charles (age 19), Caroline (age 17), Mary (twin, age 17), Louisa (age 15), William (age 14), Emma (age 12), Anna (age 10), and Henry (age 8). Louie was a farmer and John and Charles were engaged in farm labor.

1885 Johann Ludwig Müller was listed as a farmer near St. Joseph, Missouri in the1885 will of Christian and Friederike Fredel Müller.

1889 In the estate papers of Johann Christian Müller. who died in 1889 on April 16. there is an affidavit, dated 20 June 1889, from Ludwig Müller naming his children:
1. Johannes Müller - 31 Jahre alt Farmer (image cut off so I cannot read where)
2. Carl Müller - 29 Jahre alt. Farmer in Washington T__
3. Caroline Sauter geb. Müller - 27 Jahre alt. Colorado
4. Marie Schaefer geb. Müller - 27 Jahre alt. Buchanan County
5. Louise Mueller ist am 15 Marz 1889 in Alter van 25 1/2 Jahren verstorben und ___ ohne Erben zu hinter lassen
6. Wilhelm Müller - 23 Jahre alt. St. Joseph, Mo.
7. Emma Müller - 21 Jahre alt. St. Joseph, Mo.
8. Anna Müller - 19 Jahre alt. St. Joseph, Mo.
9. Henry Müller - 17 Jahre alt. St. Joseph, Mo.

1890 Louis Müller died on February 13 and was buried in Ashland Cemetery in St. Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri. The memorial inscription is [8] [9]

1891 Jacob J. Max and Mrs. Ottilie Müller of Buchanan County were married on July 9 in the Lutheren Zion Church in St. Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri. [10]

1920 Ottilie Max died on June 6 and was buried at Ashland Cemetery, Saint Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri. [11]
