1860 Susannah Hoffman (age 9, born in Ohio) lived in North Bloomfield Twp, Morrow County, Ohio, in a household with Michl Hoffman (age 40), Sarah Hoffman (age 37), Rebecca Hoffman (age 18), Noah Hoffman (age 16), John Hoffman (age 14), Mary Hoffman (age 13), Caroline Hoffman (age 11), and Jesse Hoffman (age 7). Susan Gladfleter's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. Susan Gladfleter had had 6 children, 3 still living. [8] [9]

1908 C.H. Henkel was appointed administrator of the estate of Michael Hoffman, late of Polk Twp, Crawford County, Ohio. Sureties by Henry Kreiter, Elizabeth Barr, and Tobias Merkel. [10]

1908 On March 27, notices of the inventory of the estate of Michael Hoffman were delivered to Noah Hoffman, Susan Glatfelter, Lavina Hoffman, Rebecca Lanius, and Amanda Henkel, legatees and next of kin of the said deceased. The appraisal listed real estate including lot 13 in Galion Ohio, and land in North Bloomfield, Morrow County, that Noyer had conveyed to Hoffman in 1908. [11]

1910 Henry Gladfelder (age 69, born in Pennsylvania, married for 40 years) lived in Mansfield Ward 1, Richland County, Ohio, in a household with Susan Gladfelder (age 58), Elmer Gladfelder (age 29), and Hellen Gladfelder (age 18). Henry Gladfelder's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. Henry Gladfelder could read and write. Henry Gladfelder was a stone mason. [12] [13]

1915 Henry Gladfelter died on July 15 and was buried at Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, Richland County, Ohio. Henry Gladfelter was born in 1840. [14] [15] [16]

1920 Susan Gladfelter (age 68, born in Ohio, widowed) lived in Mansfield Ward 2, Richland County, Ohio, in a household with Elmer Gladfelter (age 39). Susan Gladfelter's father was born in Pennsylvania and her mother was born in Ohio. Susan Gladfelter could read and write. [18]

1930 Susan Gladfelter (age 79, born in Pennsylvania, widowed), mother-in-law, lived in Galion, Crawford County, Ohio, in a household with Paul Krohn (age 69), and Dora Krohn (age 59). Susan Gladfelter's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. [19]

1930 Susan Gladfelter died on June 5 while living at 158 Orange St, Galion, Ohio. She was born on October 10, 1850 in Morrow County, Ohio and was the daughter of Michael Hoffman (born Pennsylvania) and Sarah Bortner (born Ohio). She died of cirhosis of the liver and was buried in Mansfield, Ohio. She was widowed and her spouse was Henry Gladfelter. [20] [21]

1929 Susan Hoffman Gladfelter died and was buried at Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, Richland County, Ohio. The grave marker reports 1850 - 1929, while other records report the death year as 1930. [22] [23]

The deceased was born October 10, 1850, on a farm in Morrow county. the daughter of Michael and Sarah Hoffman. She was married to Henry Gladfelter, who preceded her in death sixteen years ago. Six children were born to this union, four having preceded their mother to the Great Beyond. Surviving are two children, Mrs. Krohn of this city and Elmer Gladfelter of Mansfield; two sisters, Mrs Charles Henkel and Mrs. Lovina Hoffman, both of Galion. Four grandchildren also survive.
