Notes for Dempsey Jackson and Molly Pickett

1788 Dempsey Jackson and Molly Pickett received a license to marry dated 29 dec, 1787, in Fauquier County, Virginia. [1] They were married by John Monroe on January 1, 1788. [2] "Four days after Christmas of that [1787] year, at age twenty-five, Dempsey Jackson married Mary Pickett, or "Molly" as she was called, five years his junior and seventh child and third daughter of a prosperous local planter, William Sanford Pickett, a captain of the Fauquier County militia during the Revolution. Molly's oldest brother, John, was an officer in the war." [3]

1798 Molly Jackson was named as a daughter in the will of William S Pickett. [4]

1846 Mary Pickett Jackson died on March 7 in Fayette, Howard County, Missouri. [5]
