Notes for John Stoner and Catherine Brenneman

1733 On 8 January, Christian Stoner warranted 200 acres in Lancaster County, returned 2 March 1738. A note on the warrant stated "This warrt. of Stoner's was redirected no survey being to be found: take care that no patent issued till John Stoner's brother, Jacob Stoner, is consulted." The land was on the west branch of Conestoga Creek. [1]

1750 On 16 December, Jacob Meyer and Christli Christophel made an inventory of the estate of John Stoner of Conestoga Twp, Lancaster County Pennsylvania. [Photocopy] 1750 inventoryJohn Stoner.

1750/51 On 3 January, Catherine Stoner asked that son Jacob Stoner be named to join with her as administrator of the estate of her husband. [Photocopy] 1751 Administration John Stoner.

1750/51 On 8 January, John Jones and Jacob Steiner of Lancaster County were bondsmen for Jacob Stoner and Catherine Stoner widow for the estate of John Stoner, deceased. Signed by John Jones and Jacob Stoner. [Photocopy] 1751 Bond for John Stoner.

1756 On 18 March, the other heirs of John Stoner (alias Stone), late of Conestoga Twp, sold their shares of the estate to the oldest son, Jacob Stoner. The land was in Conestoga Twp, Lancaster County. The other heirs were named as Abraham Stoner, Christian Stoner, Isaac/Jacob (both names appear as the husband of Elizabeth) and Elizabeth Good, Michael (the younger) and Maudlin Baughman, Jacob and Ann Behme, Henry and Barbara Kagey, Martin and Eve Behme, and Catherine Stoner spinster. All were children of widow Catherine. The land had been granted to John Stone in 1730 by Melchor and Elizabeth Preniman [Brenneman], who had warranted the land on 27 September 1717 and had patented the land 30 November 1717. [2]

1759 The will of John Stoner was proved in Conestoga Twp, Lancaster County. [3]

Catharine Brenneman married John Steiner [4]. They inherited 150 acres of Melchior Brenneman's estate on 3-26-1730. [5] [6]
