1776 Peter Weigel, son of Catharine and Sebastian Weigel, was born on November 3. He was baptized on November 3, 1776 at the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in York County. [1] Peter Weigel and wife were sponsors. [2]

1799 Peter Weigel and Catharine Obb were married on May 12 at the First Trinity Reformed Church in York County, Pennsylvania. [3] [4]

1803 George, son of Peter and Catharine Weigel, was born on August 14. He was baptized on October 9 with sponsors George and Eva Eisenhardt at Christ Lutheran Church, York, York County, Pennsylvania. [5]

1805 Susan and Lydia Weigle, twin daughters of Peter and Catharine Weigle, were born Aug 26. They were baptised on October 7, 1805 with sponsors Maria Eva Opp and Susan Weigel (perhaps Peter's mother). [6] [7]

1812 Henry Weigle of Manchester Twp, single man, died intestate leaving brother Peter, and six sisters: Sarah wife of John May, Julianna wife of Nicholas Ziegler, Elizabeth wife of Adam Leber, Catharine wife of Siegfried Snyder, Anna Mary, and Susanna, and representatives of his late sister Margaret who was married to the late George Dehoff. Henry owned a lot on the south side of Main Street in Bottstown. Dated August 6. [8]

1812 Henry's land was evaluated and was purchased by his brother Peter, who paid the other heirs for their shares. Dated September 15. [9]

1813 Peter Weigle (of Bastian) and wife Catharina, of West Manchester, sold land to Peter Weigle (of Martin), of the same place. TDeed dated December 27. he land had been sold to Henry Weigle and Peter Weigle (of Bastian), and then sold by Henry and Anna Maria Weigle and Peter and Catharina Weigle to Sigfried Schneider. Sigfried and Catharina Schneider then sold the land back to Peter Weigle (of Bastian). [10]

1827 Son George Weigel and Susan Ruppert were married at Christ Church Lutheran church on the Conewago in York County. [11]

1829 Daughter Catharine Weigel and Daniel Kochenauer were married, perhaps in November, based on the entries in the church register of Christ Lutheran Church on the Codorus in York County. [12]

1830 Daughter Elizabeth Weigel and George Holtzappel were married on March 18 at Christ Lutheran Church on the Codorus in York County. [13]

1831 Lydia Weigel, perhaps a daughter, and Andrew Spahr were married on February 24 at Christ Lutheran Church on the Codorus in York County. [14]

1836 On 13 December, Peter Weigle petitioned to be appointed guardian to his grandchildren: John, Anna, Maria, Rebecca, Susanna, Henry & Reuben Cain, children of Edward Cain. [15]

1840 Peter Weigel lived in West Manchester Twp, York County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (60 thru 69); and females: 1 (20 thru 29) and 1 (60 thru 69). The adjacent listing was for Henry Weigle (oldest male age 20-30). [16]

1855 Catherine, wife of Peter Weigel, died on August 16 at age 77 years and 6 months and was buried at Shiloh-Union/Neiman's Cemetery in York County, Pennsylvania. [17] [18]

1859 Peter Weigel died on May 20 and was buried at Neiman's Cemetery, West Manchester Twp, York County. He was born on September 21, 1776. [19]

A biosketch of R. Hoffheins reports [20] "the mother of our subject was Susan, daughter of Peter and Catherine Weigel of West Manchester Township. She is still living and a resident of York."
