1880 Lambert Rickey (age 34) lived in Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey with Lizzie Rickey (age 32), Joseph O (age 10), and Teresa W (age 12). [1]

1885 Lambert, Elizabeth, Joseph, and Theresa Rickey lived in lived in Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey. [2]

1888 A child, son of Joseph O. Rickey and Bertha M. Colville, was born on November 3. [3]

1890 A child, daughter of Joseph Rickey and Bertie Colville, was born on January 26. [4]

1891 A child, son of Joseph Rickey and Bertie Colville, was born on February 28. [5]

1920 Bertha May Rickey died on April 28 and was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey. [6]

1920 "Rickey--In this city, on the 28th inst., Bertha May, wife of Joseph O Rickey. The relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral from her late residence, No 936 Carteret Avenue, on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery at convenience of the family." [7]

A biosketch of Joseph Olden Rickey reports [8]:

Joseph Olden Rickey, son of Lambert and Elizabeth (Nutt) Rickey, was born in Trenton, New Jersey, November 3, 1870. He was educated in the public schools and Stewart's Business College of his native city, and then entered upon his business career well equipped to cope with the difficulties which most business men have to encounter. Ten years ago he took charge of the Merchants' Express Company, founded by his father, and under his able management it has continued to flourish and he is now (1907) one of the proprietors of the same. He formed a business partnership with Frederick P. Auten in June of 1903, and they are now at the head of the express company. He is also a member of the A. H. Rickey Coal Company, of which his uncle was the founder. Mr. Rickey is connected with the following fraternal organizations: Charter member of the Park Island Club; member of the Trenton Canoe Club; of the National Union; and of Blue Lodge No. 5, Free and Accepted Masons, having attained the thirty-second degree in that order. Mr. Rickey married, April 4, 1888, Bertha Colville, daughter of John D. and Frances E. (Bowers) Colville, of New York city, and they have three children: Lambert, Jr., Ethel May and Hazel Adele.
