Research Notes:

William Pancoast was born in Northampton, England to John and Elizabeth Pancoast. [1]

1680 William and Hannah Scattergood Pancoast were emigrants to America on the ship Paradise, mastered by William Evelyn. [2]

1695 Hannah, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Jarvis Scattergood, married William Pancoast. [3]

1702 Richard French and Mary King were married on January 13, 1701/02 at the house of Harmenus King, Nottingham Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. Witnessed by William and Hannah Pancoast and others. [4] [5]

1729 On 16 April, Thomasin Pancoast, daughter of Joseph Pancoast of Mansfield, married Joshua Wright, son of Joshua Wright of Chesterfield, at Upper Springfield meeting, Burlington County. Witnessed by William Pancoast and others. [6]

1744 Aaron Pancoast was born to William and Hannah Pancoast on 22 September.

1744 John Beaumont, of Falls Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.. and Sarah Pancoast, of Mansfield Township, -dau. of William, married at Chesterfield. 17th 3d mo. 1744. Witnesses Hannah, William, Joseph, Joseph, Jr., Samuel, John, Seth, Elizabeth Mary, Abigail Mary and Mary Pancoast, Isaac Homer, Joseph Borden, Jr., Joseph Curtis and others. [7]

1765 Aaron Pancoast married Hannah Childs on 13 June.

Later, Aaron Pancoast married widow Ann Cooper.

Later, two children of Aaron Pancoast and Hannah Scattergood married two children of Ann Cooper and her first husband.

1694 On 22 December, William Pancoast, of ye County of Burlington, yeoman, (Exec'r of ye Last will ... .of John Pancoast, late of ye County afores'd, his ffather, deced.), Then proved ye Last will of his sd ffather And also proved Inventory And also gave bond And thereupon, as Exec'r had L[ette]re of Admission & Admistracon to him granted which originall will & Inventory, with ye Bond, are in ve office. Probate made &c. & Lre of Admiftracon granted by Edward Hunloke, John Tatham & Tho Tho: Revell, Juftices, And alfo before Tho: Revell, as Reg'r. [8]

"Elizabeth Pancoast, wife of Marmaduke Watson, was a daughter of William Pancoast and his wife, Hannah, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Jarvis) Scattergood" [9]
