Notes for Christian Horst and Barbara Good

1771 Barbara Good, daughter of Peter Good and Anna Oberholtzer, was born. [1]

Barbara Good married Christian Horst, son of Jacob and Margaret Horst. [2]

1818 Samuel and Peter Good were parties to a deed among the heirs of Peter Good to partition land from the estate. The deed named widow Anna and children Jacob Good, Barbara wife of Christian Horst, Christian Good, Joseph Good, and Fronica Good, all of lawful age. [3]

1812 Barbara Horst died. [4]

1826 Jonathan Horst, about 16 years of age, petitioned the Lancaster orphans court in August to award part of the estate of his grandmother Anna Good to him and to appoint Peter Stauffer, with whom Jonathan had lived since age 2, as his guardian. Jonathan Horst was a son of Christian Horst, who was living. [5] Perhaps Peter Stauffer began to care for Jonathan when Jonathan's mother Barbara Good died.

Research notes.

1822 Christian Horst, joiner, died. [6] This is not a record for this Christian Horst, who was still alive in 1826.
