Married in the District Church of St Peter according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church, by License by me Joseph Haslegrave. This Marriage solemnized between us, Robert Grey, Eleanor Elizabeth Dubberley in the Presence of us, W. Waymouth, S. Henshaw, Geo. Newman, E. Cooper, Mark Moore, B.N. Elen (?)" [1]
1851 England census Robert Grey, age 28, a builder, and his wife Ellen G., age 28, lived with their children Catherine J., age 2, Ellen G., age 1, and Joseph, age under 10 mo., at 19 Redley Place in Newcastle upon Tyne, St Andrews Parish, District 2, in Northumberland. Robert and the children were born in Newcastle upon Tyne and Ellen was born in London. Also in the household were three female servants ages 21, 18, and 15.
1861 England census Robert Grey, widower, not home, profession builder, lived with his children Catherine J., age 13, Ellen, age 12, Joseph, age 11, Mary, age 10, Eliza, age 9, and Robert, age 7, at 50 Front Street in the village, parish and municipal borough of Tynemouth, municipal ward Percy. Also in the household were Jane Jameson, a visitor and widow, age 57, profession housekeeper, Catherine Waymouth, visitor, age 59, and two female house servants, ages 25 and 16. Robert Grey, age 38, profession builder, was also listed as a traveller in the Angel Hotel, 22 Dale St, in Liverpool, Lancashire.
