Mumford DeJarnette and Frances Hannah Pickett were married. [2]
1795 James Pickett conveyed land to sons Joseph, Martin, and William R and daughter Frankey Hanes. [3]
"Mumford De Jarnetts married Frances Hannah Pickett, daughter of Martha Terry Pickett and Major James Pickett. Major Pickett was a soldier in the Revolution from Wilmington District (N.C. Roster, p. 410). He was a son of James and Hannah Rennolds Pickett; a grandson of John and Mary Pickett and a great grandson of Henry and Sarah Pickett. The basis for this is said to be a lawsuit of Pickett vs. Daniel but party sending information did not give any reference. The bible records of the family of Frances and Mumford De Jarnette are printed in the "De Jarnette Family" by Earl and May Frost, pp 159-160." [4]
