1790 The will of Casper Schnerr of Menallen Twp, York County, included the item: "I give and allow to my daughter Katrina her horse that she hath had for some time past. I also give and bequeath to my said daughter Katrina and her husband John Bender all my real estate in lands in the township and county aforesaid to them, their heirs and assigns, forever". [8]

Jacob and John inherited the home plantation and two other tracts in Menallen Twp and the windmill. Polly, Hanah, Elizabeth wife of John Hewitt, Catharine Plank, Sarah Miller, Mary, Eve, Julian, Margaret were to be paid. Son John Bender and George Wigon were named executors. Witnesses were Conrad Bender, Daniel Rice, William Slaybaugh. [17] [18]

1846 Catherine Bender was buried on October 26, at Benders Lutheran Church Cemetery. She died at age 86 years, 9 months, 21 days [20] [21] [22]
