Notes for John M Rickey and Phebe Hough

c 1794 Jesse Hough, the father of Phebe Hough, died with land in the village of Fallsington, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, leaving widow Mary and six children. [1]

1800 John Rickey was named sole legatee in brother Mahlon's will. [2]

1801 On 25 March, Phebe Hough, under age 14, was named as a daughter of Jesse Hough of Falls Twp in proceedings of the Orphans' Court of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. [3] [4]

1804 Phebe Hough, daughter of Jesse, deceased, and Mercy Hough of Bucks County, and John Rickey, son of Keirl and Sarah Rickey of Bucks County, were married on 19 of month 9 (September 19), at the Falls Quaker Meeting. [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12]

1807 Phebe, daughter of Jesse Hough of Falls Twp, was named as wife of John Rickey in proceedings of the Orphans' Court of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. [13] [14]

1812 On 6 January, Phoebe, daughter of Jesse and Mercy Hough, was named as wife of John Rickey. [15] [16]

1816 John Rickey, perhaps this one, administered the will of Peter Sharpenstein in Morristown, Morris County, New Jersey. [17]

1817 John Rickey, perhaps this one, administered the will of Samuel Rickey in Bernards Twp, Somerset County, New Jersey. [18]

1825 John M Rickey and wife Phebe and minor children Sarah Ann, Kirkbride M, Phebe, Mahlon, Lambert, Mary, John, and Jesse were granted certificate to Makefield meeting, by the Falls meeting. [19] [20]

1830 John M and Phebe Rickey were disowned by Falls MM, Orthodox) for joining Hicksite. [21] [22]

1830 Sarah Ann Hollowell (late Richey), perhaps daughter to this couple, was rpd mcd (married contrary to discipline) at the Falls (Hicksite) MM. [23]

1833 The estate proceedings of Mercy Hough of Falls Twp, named grandchildren Mahlon and Lambert Rickey, over age 14, and Jesse and Phebe Ann Rickey, under 14. Petition by their father John M Rickey. Thomas Sutton appointed guardian. [24] [25]

1833 Phebe Ann and Mahlon Rickey [Richey], both minors, were granted certificates from Falls meeting (Hicksite) to Abington MM. [26]

1835 Mary, daughter of John M and Phebe Rickey, died. [27]

1836 On 2 of month 4, Phebe Ricky, a minor, was granted a certificate from Falls meeting, Bucks County, Pennsylvania to Abington meeting. [28]
