1676 Thomas Wead wrote his will on December 1. [1]

This Wrightenn mad this frist day of December in the yeare of our lord god 1676 wittnesseth that I Thomas Wead of Dedhame in the Countie of Essex doe make my Last will and testamente as followeth: Imprimis I give & bequeath to my wellbeloved wife Hanna Wead the some of Forty pounds of lawfull mony. Item I give and bequeath to my sone Jonnathan Wead the some of Forty pounds of lawfull mony to be payd at his age of Twenty one years; Item I doe give to the child that my wife is now with all if it shall please god to give her safe delivery of it the some of Thirty pounds when it shall atteine the age of Twenty one years to be payd Item I give & bequeath to my cussen Mary Wead daughter of my Brother Samuel deceased the some of tenne pounds to be payd at the age of twenty one years: & if that it soe happen that the said Mary Wead shall depart this life before she accomplish the age of twenty one years then I due give that said tenne pounds to my sone Jonnathan at his age of twenty one years: and my will & mind furder is that if it should soe happen that my sonne Jonnathan: & that child that my wife is withall shall dye & departe this life before they doe accomplish ther ages of Twenty one years that then there leagces shallbe equally devided amonge the childeren of all my Brothers that is the childeren of John Samuell & Edmond & Jonathan my Deabts and finerell charges being paid the overplus of thes my will I give to my wellbeloved wife: Hanna Wead Hom I nominat & appointe my Executris of this my will; & I doe desyre my Brother John Wead & my Friend John Blomfield senior to be supervisors to this my wille.
