1779 Joseph Abbott was born on July 8, in Burlington County, New Jersey. [1] [2]

1805 John Abbott and Ann Rickey declared their intentions of marriage. Recorded in minutes of the Chesterfield meeting dated on 5 of month 2. [3]

1805 Ann Rickey, daughter of John and Amy Rickey, and Joseph Abbott, all of Nottingham Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey, were married on 7 of month 3, in Trenton New Jersey, having declared, in Chesterfield Twp, their intention to marry. There were many witnesses to the marriage including John and Amy Rickey, Lambert Rickey, Ann Rickey, Margaret Rickey, and Mary Rickey Jr. [4] [5] [6] [7]

1805 A marriage was reported on March 7: "At Trenton, New Jersey, at the Friends' meeting-house, Mr. Joseph Abbot, of Nottingham, to Miss Ann Rickey, daughter of John Rickey, merchant. [8]

1861 Joseph Abbott died on October 28. [9] [10]

"Joseph Abbott, son of John and Susannah (Bullock) Abbott, during the lifetime of his father, removed to a plantation which the latter had purchased in 1800 from William Watson, east of the original Abbott tract. He was a farmer all his life, and died in 1861. He married, 1805, Anne Rickey, daughter of John Rickey, a hardware merchant in Trenton, New Jersey. They had eight children." [11]
