Mr. J.H. Hoffman dies near Ellaville
Mr. J.H. Hoffman died at his home near here Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock following an illness of several weeks from a complication of disease.
Mr. Hoffman came to this county about 15 years ago from Indiana to engage in farming. For many years he resided at Hotel Peacock, later moving to his farm, where he lived alone. He specialized in growing strawberries, which he sold in the local market.
A few days prior to his death, his son visited him, and returned to his home in Indiana just three days before his father died.
Mr. Hoffman's body was shipped on the Seminole to Indiana where his remains were interred in the family plot in Kendalville.
1956 Irene E Kimmell Hoffman died on December 13, 1956 and was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion, Noble County, Indiana. [7]
Irene's husband John Hoffman left the family sometime after 1917. The census indicates she is divorced and her sister Cora lives with her. Unknown as to the circumstances. Look at his memorial for his obituary stating he died in Ellaville Georgia.
