1730 Johann Sebastian, son of Martin Weigel, carpenter Von brÿfitzer(?), and Anna Dorothea, born Frideli, was born on November 12. Sebastian was baptized on November 14 with sponsor Johann Sebastian Hauck, son of Hans George Hauck, burger, V[on] Metzgers allhier at Helmstadt Lutheran Church. Helmstadt-Bargen is 13 km north-east of Sinsheim. [1] [2] [3]

1732 Sebastian Weigel immigrated to America on August 11, arriving in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania on the ship Samuel with his parents (he was not named in the immigration records). [4] [5] [6] [7] [8]

1755 Sebastian Weigel and Susanna Leib were married in York County, Pennsylvania.

1759 Anna Margaret Weigel, daughter of Catharine and Sebastian Weigel, was born on December 9. She was baptized on April 27, 1760 at the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, York, York County, Pennsylvania. [9] [10]

1761 Heirs of Martin Wigle, deceased, distributed land from his estate. Bastian Wigle, Jacob Bushong and wife Julianna, Michael Sprinkle and wife Elizabeth, sold land to Martin Weigle, all heirs of Martin Weigle. Dated August 1. The land was in Dover and Manchester Twps, York County, Pennsylvania. [11]

1761 Maria Sabina Weigel, daughter of Catharine and Sebastian Weigel, was born on August 16. She was baptized on August 16, 1761 at the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. [12] Ludwig and Sabina Huedig were sponsors. [13]

1765 Sebastian Weigel was naturalized in October.

1767 Catherine Weigel, daughter of Catherine and Sebastian Weigel, was born on June 15. She was baptized on September 20, 1767 at the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. (Grand-mother) Dorothy Weigel was the witness. [14]

1765 Johan Martin Weigel, child of Johan Martin Weigel and Anna Catharine Weigel, was born on January 22. He was baptised on July 21, 1765 at Salem Lutheran (Union), Lutheran church, Dover, York County, Pennsylvania. Sebastian and Catharine Weigel were sponsors. [15] [16]

1770 Susana, daughter of Catharine was born in March. She was baptized at Strayer's Salem Reformed Church, with witnesses Sebastian's brother Martin and sister in law Christina. [17]

1771 Basten [Sebastian] Wagel and Martin Wegel were taxed in Manchester Twp, York County. [18]

1772 Basten [Sebastian], Martin, Peter, and Leonard Wagel were taxed in Manchester Twp, York County. [19]

1774 Magdalena Weigel, daughter of Catharine and Sebastian Weigel, was born on January 15. She was baptized on March 20, 1774 at the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. [20] Peter Weigel and wife were sponsors. [21]

1765 Sebastian Weigle and wife were sponsors at the baptism of niece Eva Springle, daughter of sister Maria Elisabeth, at Wolf's Reformed Church.

1776 Peter Weigel, son of Catharine and Sebastian Weigel, was born on November 3. He was baptized on November 3 at the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in York County. Peter Weigel and wife were sponsors. [22] [23]

1776-77 Sebastian Weigle paid a fine of 15 pounds for non-performance of duty as a private in the 5th Battalion. He paid a similar fine for non-performance of duty in the 2nd Battalion. He was then assigned to the 3rd battalion. Bastian Wigle was fined (Captain Herman's Company fourth class) £15.0.0 in York County. [24]

1777 Sebastian Weigel, perhaps this one, was a private in the Company of Captain Emanuel Herman of the Second Battalion of York County. [25]

1778 Peter Weigle was listed in the 1st Class of Associators and Militia in York County, Fifth Company, Capt. Emanuel Herman. Sebastian was listed in the 4th Class and Leonhard Weigel and Simon Wiedmeyer were listed in the 5th Class. [26]

1779 Sebastian Weigel was taxed £25.16.0 in Manchester Twp for 139 acres, 2 horses, and 3 cattle. [27]

1780 Henry Weigel, son of Catharine and Sebastian Weigel, was born on July 30. He was baptized on July 30 at the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. [28]

1780 Sebastian Wigel was in Captain Reinhart Bott's company of the Manchester Twp, York County, Militia. [29] [30]

1780 Sebastian Weigel was taxed £20.12.6 in Manchester Twp for 139 acres, 3 horse, 4 cattle. [31]

1780 Sebastian Weigel was taxed £25.16.6 in Manchester Twp, York County for 139 acres of warranted land (not deeded), 2 horses, 3 horned cattle. [32]

1781 Sebastian Weigel was taxed £4.2.6 in Manchester Twp for 139 acres, 2 horse, 5 cattle, and a still. [33] Sebastian's taxes were doubled because he had never taken the required oath of allegiance to the revolutionary government.

1782 Sebastian Weigel was taxed £5.18.3 in Manchester Twp for 139 acres, 2 horse, 4 cattle. [34] [35]

1783 Sebastian Weikle was taxed £3.14.0 in Manchester Twp for 139 acres, 2 horses, 4 horned cattle, 8 sheep, 1 still, 1 house, 1 outhouse, 9 inhabitants, valued at £237.14. [36] [37]

1785 Bastian and Catharina Weickel were sponsors at the baptism of Henrich, son of Georg and Margareth Dehoff, on October 7 at the Brodbecks Lutheran Reformed, St Jacobs (Stone) Church, York County. [38]

1786 Sebastian Weigel was listed on the septennial census for Manchester Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [39]

1787 Sebastian Weigel was taxed in 1787 in Manchester Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [40]

1790 Bastion Waigle lived in Manchester Twp, York County, Pennsylvania, in a household with 2 males under age 16, 1 males age 16 and over, and 4 females. [41]

1793 Sebastian Wygal, farmer, was listed on the septennial census for Manchester Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [42]

1800 Sebastian Wigle lived in West Manchester, York County, Pennsylvania in a household with Males: 1 (age 45 and over); Females: 1 (age 16 thru 25). [46] [47]

1807 The will of Sebastian Weigel was proved on September 18, in West Manchester Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. The will was dated December 31, 1804. Executors: Peter Weigel and John Haller. Children: Peter, Henry, Sebina, Julianna, Elizabeth, Catharine, Susanna, Margaret and Anna. [48] [49]
