1891 In the 1891 census of Canada, John Quinn (age 33, surname written as Qinn) and his wife Sarah (age 28) lived in Hamilton, Ward 7, in Ontario, with children John (age 10), Martin (age 9), Elenor (age 7), Raymond (age 4). and Thomas (age 1), all born in Ontario. John senior was a pattern maker. Sarah's parents were born in Ireland. [2]
1901 In the 1901 census of Canada, Sarah Quinn, widow, born in October 1860, lived in Hamilton, Ward 2, with her children John, born August 1880, a printer, Martin, born April 1882, a brass finisher, Elenor, born November 1884, Raymond, born February 1887, a shoe cutter, and Eugene C., born August 1892. They were all born in Ontario and were Roman Catholic. [3]
1926 Sarah Quinn died on October 29 at 42 Stanley Ave., in Hamilton. She was age 68, born October 5, 1858, in Canada. Her father was Martin Crofton and her mother was Honora McLaughlin, both born in Ireland. She was buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on November 1. The cause of death was cerebral hemorage. The informant was her son John Quinn.
