1827 Eleanor Meakins, daughter of Charles William and Mary Ann Meakins, was born on September 25 and baptized on October 14 at St. Anne Soho, Westminster, Middlesex, England. Charles' profession was listed as licenced vitualler, and the residence of the family was St Giles. [1] [2] [3] [4]

1846 John Quinn, son of James Quinn and Jeanne Mullin, and Elinor Meakins, daughter of Charles Meakins and Mary Anne Marshall, were married on September 19 in Basilique Notre-Dame, Montréal, Québec. [5]

1847 Charles James Quinn, son of John Quinn, carpenter (charpentier) and "Ellen Makens" of this parish, was born on October 20 and baptized on October 24 at Basilique Notre-Dame, Montréal, Québec. [6]

1849 James Quinn, son of John Quinn, carpenter (menuisier) and Elinor Meakins, was born on November 4 in Chambly, Quebec, and baptized the same day at St-Joseph, Chambly. The godparents were Francis Quinn and Mary McKew__. [7]

1851 Mary Quinn, daughter of "Jhon Quinn" and "Helene Meakins" of this parish, was baptized on October 26 at Basilique Notre-Dame, Montréal, Québec. [8]

1861 J Quinn (age at next birthday 38), a pattern maker, and Mrs Quinn (age 32), his wife, lived in St. Patricks Ward, Hamilton, Ontario with children C J (age 14), J T (age 12?), Mary (age 9), Elizabt (age 6), John (age 4), and Francis (age 2). They lived in a 1 1/2 story single-family frame house. J [John] was born in Ireland and his wife was born in England. The older three children were born in U.C., and the younger children were born in L.C. [9]

1871 John Quinn (age 46, born in Ireland, occupation pattern maker) and Elinor Quinn (age 43) lived in St Patricks Ward, Hamilton, Ontario with children James (age 21), John (age 15), Francis (age 12), Mary (age 19), Elizabeth (age 17), Jane (age 9), Elinor (age 7), Catharine (age 5), and Josephine (age 2). James was born in Quebec and the other children in Ontario. Elinor birthplace is also listed as Ontario. The family's religion was Catholic.[10]

1881 In April, John Quinn, a widower (age 56) lived in Ward 7, Hamilton, Wentworth, Ontario. He was a pattern maker and was born in Ireland. The other members of the household, all born in Ontario, were Frank, age 23, a painter; Jane, age 19, a tailoress, Eleanor, age 17, a dressmaker; Kate, age 15, and Josephine, age 12. The religion of all members of the household was Roman Catholic. [11]

1919 On 4 February, James Thomas Quinn (born 4 November 1849 in Canada), son of John Quinn (born Iona Island, Scotland) and Eleanor Meakins (born England), died at Oak Park, Cook County, Illinois. James Thomas Quinn was a machinist. [12]
