1807 Michael Hoffman, son of John and Elizabeth Hoffman, was born on April 21. He was baptized on July 12, 1807, at Lischy's Reformed Church in York County, with sponsor Michael Hoffman. [2]

1807 John Hoffman was listed on the Pennsylvania septennial census for Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [3]

1810 John Hofman lived in Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 3 (under 10) and 1 (26 thru 44); and females: 2 (16 thru 25). Adam Hofman (age over 45) was in the adjacent listing. [4] [5]

1819 Adam Hofman, of Heidelberg Twp, Lancaster County, purchased water rights from Henry Bucher for 6 pounds on 2 February, 1779. [6] Adam Hoffman sold the water rights to his son John Hoffman, on 9 March, 1819. [7] The rights had been granted by John Reber to John Meyer, then to Henry Hershey, then to Henry Bucher. This was likely related to the land patented by Adam Hoffman in 1789, which was adjacent to John Rebers and John Moyer.

1851 John V Hoffman (born 8 May 1773) died on October 4, at age 78y 4m 26d and was buried at Saint Peters Church (Lischey's) Cemetery, Spring Grove, York County, Pennsylvania. [10] [11]

1851 The will of John Hoffman was proved on November 8, in North Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. The will was dated September 7, 1851 and named wife Elizabeth and sons Adam B Hoffman, Michael B Hoffman, John B Hoffman, Jesse B Hoffman, and Levi B Hoffman. Son Adam B. Hoffman was named executor. 1860 Elizabeth Hoffman (age 79, born in Pennsylvania) lived in North Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania, in a household with John Hoffman (51), Lisetta Hoffman (41), Lena Hoffman (17), Adam Hoffman (12), Lydia Hoffman (8), Jacob Hoffman (5), Sarah Werner (), Lewis Werner (10), William Werner (8), and Amos Rabenstine (24). Elizabeth Hoffman was a widow. [13]

1862 Elizabeth Hoffman (born 22 July 1782) died on December 28 and was buried at Saint Peters Church (Lischey's) Cemetery, Spring Grove, York County, Pennsylvania. [14] [15]

1873 Son John Brillhart Hoffman died on April 2 and was buried at Saint Peters Church Cemetery, Spring Grove, York County, Pennsylvania. John Brillhart Hoffman was born on August 6, 1809. [16] [17]
