1798 Jacob Baker was listed on the U.S. direct Pennsylvania tax rolls for Codorus Twp, York County, with a log dwelling house adjacent to Philip Ruhl [1]. Jacob Baker had a log house, 20 by 20, and barn [2]. Jacob Baker occupied a house owned by Deitrick Brubaker [3]. [4]

1800 Jacob Baker lived in Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 2 (Under 10), 2 (10 thru 15), and 1 (26 thru 44); and females: 3 (Under 10), 1 (16 thru 25), 1 (26 thru 44), and 1 (45 and over). [7]

1801 Jacob Baker was taxed for 100 acres in Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [8]

1809 George Gans and Henry Ruhl, executors of the will of Jacob Baker, deceased, produced an account with balance £358.17.11 on December 5. [11]

1809 On 5 December, Eve Baker, widow of Jacob Baker, petitioned the York County Orphans' Court to appoint Conrad Krow [her brother-in-law] as guardian of her orphaned children: John, Jacob, Henry, Anna Mary, Regina, and Lydia. Adam Baker, age 14, son of Jacob Baker, deceased, petitioned that Conrad Krow be his guardian. [12]

1808-1820 The heirs and wido[w] Eve of Jacob Backer were taxed for 160 (sometimes 60 or 260) acres in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [13] [14] [15] [16] [17] [18] [19] [20] [21] [22] [23] [24] [25] [26] [27] The 1821 tax list is missing the page that would have had Eve Baker.

1810 Eve Baker lived in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 2 (Under 10) and 2 (10 thru 15); and females: 2 (Under 10), 1 (10 thru 15), and 1 (26 thru 44). [28]

1819 Eve, wife of Jacob Baker was named in the will of her father, Adam Hoffman. The will of Adam Hoffman, dated 1819 in Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania reported the names and spouses of the children listed here. Four sons included Henry, John, Adam, and Michael. Son John had a son Adam. Daughter Elisabeth wife of John Rudisell was deceased. Catherine was the widow of George Gantz. Eve was married to Jacob Baker. Magdalena was married to Henry Thoman. Christina was married to Charles Wildasin. Barbara was married to Conrad Kroh. Mary was married to Peter Haks. The will was executed by Henry Thoman and John Rudisell Jr. and was witnessed by Jacob Wildasin and Henry Ebersolt. 1820 Widow Baker lived in Shrewsbury Twp, York County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (10 thru 15); and females: 1 (16 thru 25) and 1 (45 and over). [30]

1821 John Becker inherited a plantation in Shrewsbury Twp called the "Lower Place" by will of his father Jacob Becker, dated January 6, 1808. He was to pay the other children of Jacob Baker for their shares. John Becker and Adam Becker posted bond to the Orphans Court of York County on February 13. [31]

1822-1824 John Baker was taxed for 160+29+39 acres in Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [32] [33] [34]
