Notes for Daniel Foust and Louisa Rohrbach

1799 Maria Lowisa Rohrbach, daughter of Samuel Rohrbach and Margaretha Rohrbach, was born on November 18. She was baptised on December 8 at St Jacobs (Stone), Lutheran and Reformed church, Brodbecks, York County, Pennsylvania. Aunt Lowisa Wildasin was a sponsor. [1] [2] [3]

1825 Sarah Faust, daughter of Daniel and Louise Faust, was born on August 26. Sarah was baptized on November 6, 1825, at the Lutheran and Reformed church in York County, Pennsylvania with sponsor Sarah Maenge. [4] [5]

1827 Henry Faust was born on December 9, son of Daniel and Louise Faust. He was baptized on March 23, 1828 with sponsor Henry and Judith Shuman at St. David's church. [6]

1828 Daniel Faust took communion at St. David's/Sherman's Reformed and Lutheran Church in York County, Pennsylvania on April 20.

1837 The Foust family moved to Ohio, as mentioned in a biosketch related to daughter Sarah Foust, spouse of David Levering. Census records for son Daniel (born about 1837) report his birth in Ohio [7]

David [Levering] … married March 13, 1850, to Sarah Foust, who was born August 27, 1825, in Baltimore County, Maryland., and was brought by her parents, Daniel Foust and Louisa Rorbaugh, in 1837, to Ohio. She died March 28, 1893, at their home at Woodview, Morrow County, Ohio.

1848 Daniel Foust died in Circleville, Ohio. [8]

1850 Laura Foust (age 50, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Johnsville, Morrow County, Ohio, USA, in a household with Henry Foust (age 22, cooper), John Foust (age 16), Samuel Foust (age 9), and Ellen Foust (age 18). David and Sarah Levering were listed adjacent. [9] Son Daniel Foust (age 13) lived with Isaac and Leah Rhul [sic] in Congress Twp, Morrow County, Ohio (see the entry for Isaac Ruhl, born 1818). [10]

1855 The estate of Samuel Rohrbach named daughter Louisa married to Daniel Foust and living in Ohio.

1856 Jacob Haney and wife Philipina, and Louisa Foust widow of Daniel Foust, appointed George B Hosler, all of Morrow County, Ohio, as lawful attorney, to receive inheritances as heirs at law of Samuel Rohrbaugh Sr, late of Shrewsbury Typ, York County, Pennsylvania. Dated October 5. [11] [12]

1860 Louisa Frost [sic] (age 61) lived in Perry, Morrow County, Ohio, in a household with Samuel Frost (age 19). Samuel was a carpenter. Louisa's daughter Sarah Levering was listed on an adjacent page. [13]

1870 Louisa Foust (age 70, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Lexington (post office), Perry, Morrow County, Ohio, in a household with Samuel Foust (age 29, carpenter). The family of G. R. Hosler was listed adjacent with Louisa's sister Catherine Hosler (age 73). [14]

1880 Louisa Foust (age 80, born in Pennsylvania), self (head), widowed, lived in Woodbury, Morrow County, Ohio. Louisa Foust's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. Daughter Sarah Levering was listed on the previous page of the census. Louisa's nephew George Rohrbaugh Hosler was the census taker. [15]

1884 Louisa Rohrbach Foust died on December 16, 1884, and was buried at Saint Johns Reformed Cemetery, Richland Township, Marion County, Ohio. Louisa Rohrbach Foust was born November 18, 1799. The Findagrave memorial reported that Louisa Rohrbach Foust was born at Codorus Furnace, York County, Pennsylvania, USA. The Findagrave memorial reported that Louisa Rohrbach Foust died at Morrow County, Ohio, USA. [16] [17]
