1754 Johann Jacob, son of Jacob Bortner and wife, was born on October 23. He was baptized on October 27, 1754 at Host Church (Tulpehocken Twp). [1] [2]

1779 Jacob Bordner was taxed in 1779 in Bethel Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania. [3] Jacob Bordner, single freeman was also taxed. [4]

Jacob Bordner married Anna Maria Brosz. [5] [6]

1782 Johann Jacob Bordner, son of Jacob and Anna Maria Bordner, was baptized on October 27, 1782, in Atolheo Altalaha Lutheran Church, Berks County, Pennsylvania. [7]

1782 Jacob Bordner was taxed in 1782 in Bethel Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania as an inmate (occupier of land not owned) for 2 cows. [8]

1837 The will of Jacob Bordner, of Bethel Twp, Berks County, was written in German. Probate 17 February 1837. [9] A map showed 6 tracts of various men named Jacob and John Bordner, as well as naming neighboring landowners. [10]

1837 Jacob Bordner died on January 6 and was buried at Salem Reformed Church Cemetery, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Jacob Bordner was born on November 13, 1754.[11] [12]

1839 Anna Maria Brosz Bordner died on October 6 and was buried at Salem Reformed Church Cemetery, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Anna Maria Brosz Bordner was born on October 10, 1761.[13] [14]

A biosketch of descendant George C Bordner reports [15]:

Jacob Bordner, son of Jacob, was born in 1754, and spent his whole life on the homestead. He was married to Anna Marie Brosz, seven years his junior. They had a family of six children: Jacob, John, Catharine, Elizabeth, Julian, and Susanna. Jacob Bordner died in 1837, willing the homestead to his eldest son Jacob. The widowed mother survived her husband two years.
