1810 Elizabeth Quickel died on January 23 and was buried at Benders Lutheran Church Cemetery, Butler Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth Quickel was born on October 11, 1775. [1] [2]

1820 John Quigal lived in Menallen Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 3 (under 10) and 1 (45 and over); and females: 2 (under 10) and 1 (26 thru 44). [3]

1830 John Quiggle (age 50-60) and (perhaps a second) wife (age 40-50) lived in Menallen Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania with 6 children. [4]

1835 On 3 March, at the Orphans' Court at Gettysburg, York County, Pennsylvania: "Came into court Sarah Meals minor daughter (about the age of fourteen) of [Elizabeth's brother] Jacob Meals deceased and prays to be permitted to choose a guardian of her person and her estate and being asked by the court named John Quigle." Also, "On application of Daniel Weldy the court appoint John Quigle guardian of the person & estate of Jacob Meals Jr minor child of Jacob Meals (under the age of fourteen) deceased. [5] [6]

1839 On 27 November, at the Orphans' Court at Gettysburg, York County, Pennsylvania: "The petition of Jacob Meals, minor son of Jacob Meals of Menallen Twp, deceased, was read to the court setting forth that he is now above the age of fourteen years, that whilst under the age of fourteen, John Quickel lately deceased was appointed ... his guardian, that he is entitled to a small sum of money - say about twenty dollars - and has no person to take care of his person." Frederick Quickel was appointed guardian. [7]

1839 John Quickel was buried on October 1, at Benders Lutheran Church Cemetery, Biglerville, Adams County, Pennsylvania. [8] [9] [10]

1839 On 5 October, Frederick and John Quickel were appointed guardians of the estate of John Quickel. [11]

1840 Fred'k Quigle lived in Menallen Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (under 5) and 1 (20 thru 29); and females: 2 (under 5) and 1 (20 thru 29). [12]

1846 On May 26, at the Orphans' Court at Gettysburg, York County, Pennsylvania: "Came into court Samuel Gilliand and Frederick Quickle administrators of Jacob Meals dec'd and produced an account of their administrations as settled with the register." showing balance $74.63. [13]
