1890 Elza M Huntsman, son of George Huntsman and Susan Hosler, and Viola Winebrenner, daughter of James Winebrenner and Elizabeth River, were married on April 26 in Noble County, Indiana. J W Bolton was the officiator. The license was issued on April 24, 1890. [1]

1900 Viola M Huntzman (born in Indiana in Jul 1868, married for 10 years), wife, lived in Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana, in a household with Elza M Huntzman (age 30), Flossire F Huntzman (age 8), Bernice L Huntzman (age 8), Bulah E Huntzman (age 5), and Verlin B Huntzman (age 3). Viola M Huntzman's father was born in Ohio and her mother was born in Indiana. Viola M Huntzman had had 4 children, 4 still living. [2]

1910 Viola Huntsman (age 41) and Elza Huntsman (age 40) lived at Noble County, Indiana with Burnis (age 17), Bula (age 15), Verlin (age 12), and Ruby Huntsman (age 7). [3]

1920 Mertis Viola Huntsman, daughter of James E. Winebrenner and Elizabeth Winebrenner, spouse of Elza Huntsman, died on August 30, 1920, at age 52, in Noble Twp, Noble County, Indiana. Mertis Viola Huntsman was born on July 16, 1868, in Noble Co. Ind.. [4]

1925 Elza M Huntsman (1869-1925) was buried in the Christian Chapel Cemetery in Noble County, Indiana. [7] [8]

An obituary for Mertis Viola Huntsman states [9]:

Huntsman Mertis Viola, daughter of James and Elizabeth Winebrenner of Noble Twp, was born July 16, 1868, being one of seven children, and died Aug. 30, 1920, aged 52 years, one month and 14 days. She was married to Elza Huntsman April 7, 1890 and they began housekeeping in Green Twp, but after a few years moved to Noble Twp. Seventeen years ago they moved on the farm south of Burr Oak where they lived at the time of her death. They had five children, Mrs. Flossie Fern Edsall, Mrs. Burnis Laree Mawhorter, Mrs. Beulah E. Hile, Verlin Bernell Huntsman and Miss Ruby Waneta Huntsman, all of near Burr Oak, Ruby still at home. She is also survived by three grandchildren; four brothers and one sister, Harvey of Burr Oak, Albert of Merriam, Curtis of Green Twp, John of Jefferson Twp and Mrs. Harley Haney of near Merriam. She united with Burr Oak Baptist Church May 18, 1894, where funeral was held Sept. 1. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery. + 8-?-1920

A biosketch of Eliza Huntsman reports [10]:

Eliza M Huntsman ... April 26, 1890, he married Mertuss V Winebrenner, who was born in Noble Township, July 16, 1868, was reared there and attended the district schools. She was a daughter of James E and Elizabeth (Rivir) Winebrenner. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Huntsman worked his father's farm for a time and later bought forty acres in Greene Township, selling that to secure their present larger place in Noble Township, and finally made the move which brought them to their present farm, widely known as Lakeside Farm. Mr. and Mrs. Huntsman have five children: Flossie F. is a graduate of the common schools and is the wife of Wallace Edsel. Bernice L. is the wife of Clarence Mawhorter. Beulah E. is a graduate of the Wolf Lake High School and is the wife of Ted Hile. Verlin B. is a farmer, and married Marie Brackney. Ruby, the youngest of the family, is still in the home circle. Mr. and Mrs. Huntsman are members of the Burr Oak Baptist Church and he is one of the trustees. He was elected on the democratic ticket to his present office as trustee of Noble Township by a majority of fifty votes. Normally the township has a republican margin of twenty-five, but his personal popularity succeeded in overcoming this handicap.
