With an attractive early fall ceremony, Miss Lucile Elizabeth Hess daughter of Mrs. John R. Hess and Joseph J. Rohrer son of Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Rohrer were married Saturday evening, September 17, at 8 o'clock in the presence of fifty relatives and friends by Rev. S. B. Stookey. Miss Bernice Hess sister of the bride attended her as maid of honor wearing a gown of rose and gray changeable satin and carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations. Glade Rohrer acted as best man. The bride wore a gown of white satin trimmed in silver lace. She wore a veil and carried a bouquet of white bride's roses. Her traveling suit was navy blue embroidered tricotine and black feather hat. The "Bridal Chorus" from "Lehengrin" was played by Miss Bessie Watts of Goshen as the bridal party approached the altar. The home was attractively decorated with pink and white asters and gladiolis. Following the ceremony a wedding supper was served to the guests. Mr. and Mrs. Rohrer left for a two weeks wedding trip to Detroit and Toledo and will be at home after October 1st.
