1818 On 28 January, among other times, United Brethren in Christ minister Christian Newcomer stayed at the home of Joseph Huber. [1]
1826 Joseph Huber died on October 3, 1826 and was buried at Groffdale Mennonite Brick Church Cemetery, Leola, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Joseph Huber was born on June 18, 1764. [2]

"33.--Joseph Huber 12, born in Earl Twp, June 18, 1764; died Oct. 3, 1826; m. Anna Myer: born May 26, 1768; died June 7, 1853; daut. of Vincent and Anna (Huber) Myer of near Akron, Pa. United Brethren in Christ; farmer; res., 1 mile south of New Holland, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.; buried at Groffdale. Issue: 120 Daniel; 121 Elizabeth; 122 Benjamin; 123 Isaac; 124 Salome; 125 Anna; 126 Leah; 127 Magdalene; 128 Lydia; 129 Mary; 130 Catharine. Joseph Huber lived on a part of the original Hans Huber tract which he inherited from his father. His home was a stopping place for the early United Brethren preachers who preached there before there were any churches in the community. Among those pioneer preachers were: Chris Newcomer, Chris Grosh, Martin Boehm, and others." [3]
