Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Amspaugh, Ansonia, O., are announcing the marriage of their daughter, Elsie, to Edward Applegate, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Applegate, Union City, Ind. The nuptial services was an event of April 5, 1932 at the First Christian church in Covington, Ky. Miss Amspaugh is a graduate of the Greenville Commercial Normal College and for the past four years has been employed as bookkeeper at W. J. Lammers & Sons.

Mr. Applegate is a graduate of the Jackson, Ohio high school and during the past few years has been engaged in farming.

1934 Aurella Pickett Applegate was named in the will of Aunt Elizabeth Modlin Page, wife of John R Page and inherited $5,000.

1950 Ariella May Pickett Applegate died on December 29, 1950 and was buried at Lisbon Cemetery, Union City, Randolph County, Indiana. Ariella May Pickett Applegate was born on April 4, 1878. [41] [42]
Her obituary appeared in the Union City Times-Gazette on December 30. [43]

1952 Elmore G Applegate, widowed, died on July 25, at age 84, in Randolph County, Indiana. He was born on October 22, 1867, in Butler County, Ohio, son of Paul Applegate and Elizabeth Applegate. [44] Elmore Applegate was buried at Lisbon Cemetery, Union City, Randolph County, Indiana. Elmore Applegate was born in 1867. [45] [46] Elmer Applegate's death was recorded in July in the journal of Hazel Grill. [47]

1953 The will of Elmore G. Applegate was contested by son Ray Applegate. [48]

UNION CITY. Ray Applegate has filed a complaint in Randolph Circuit court at Winchester to set aside the probate of the will of the late Elmore G. Applegate, his father, who resided northwest of Union City. The plaintiff was willed $50 out of the appraised $36,000 estate. The defendants are Edward Applegate, Rev. Richard Applegate, Miss Lillian Applegate and Mrs. Barbara Applegate - Wright. The principal part of the estate was bequeathed equally to the four defendants. The plaintiff claims he is entitled to one-fifth of the estate. Mrs. Elmore Applegate died Dec. 29, 1950 and her husband on July 26. 1952. The will was written Sept. 4, 1941.

1955 Rev Hollis Ray Applegate died on December 23 and was buried at Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum, Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio. Rev Hollis Ray Applegate was born on March 18, 1892. [49] [50]
