c1751 Michael Hassler, second son of Michael and Margretta Hassler, was born in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. [1]

1774 Michael Hassler's father died and left one weaver's loom to his son Michael. His farm was not to be divided among his children until after his youngest son Abraham became eighteen years of age. Then Michael was to receive 60 acres.[2] [3]

1774 After his father's death in 1774 Michael Hassler lived in Hagerstown,Md. for a short time. [4]

1774-7 Michael Hassler walked from Maryland to Knoxville,Tennessee and back to York County, Pennsylvania. [5]

1777 Michael Hassler married Christina Geiselman. [6]

1777 In the winter, Michael Hassler joined the York County militia. [7]

1778 Michael, Joseph, and Christian Hassler were taxed in Codorus Twp, York County. [8]

1779 Michael Hoseler was taxed 13 pounds 7 shillings for 60 acres 1 horse and 2 cattle in Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [9] [10] Michael, Joseph, and Christian Hassler were taxed. [11] [12]

1780 George Hassler, son of Michael and Christina Hassler, was born on February 2. He was baptized at Saint Paul Lutheran and Reformed (Zieglers) Church, North Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [13] George and Susanna Hassler were sponsors at the baptism on March 4. [14] [15]

1780 Michael Hassler was a clerk in Captain George Gieselman's company in York County, Pennsylvania. [16]

1781 Maria Catharina Healer, child of Johann Michel Hesler and Maria Christina Hesler, was baptized on January 1, 1782, in Friedensaal (Shuster) Church, Springfield Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. Maria Catharina Healer was born on December 8, 1781, in Pennsylvania. [17]

1782 Michael Hassler was a sergeant in the same company. [18] [19]

1782 Michael Hassler was taxed 2 pounds 5 shillings for 60 acres and 2 cattle in Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [20]

1783 Michael Hassler was taxed for 60 acres, 6 inhabitants, and 1 servant in Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [21]

1785 Michael Hassler was taxed 9 pounds for 60 acres 1 horse and 2 cattle in Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [22]

1786 Michael Hassler bought 182 acres in Hopewell Twp, York County near the Maryland line. Dated May 6. [23] Michael sold this land to Michael Morrison on 5 September, 1801 [24].

1788 Michael Hassler was a Sergeant in Capt. George Gieselman's Company [25]

1789 Michael Hassler was taxed 14 shillings for 150 acres 1 horse and 2 cattle in Hopewell Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [26]

1800 Michael Hassler lived in Hopewell Twp, York County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 2 (under 10), 1 (10 thru 15), 3 (16 thru 25), and 1 (45 and over); and females: 2 (under 10), 1 (10 thru 15), 2 (16 thru 25), and 1 (45 and over). [27]

1809 Michael Hassler moved to Roane County, Tennessee (date unknown) and built a house and mill at Swan Pond near Harriman [28]. He purchased 133 acres in 1809 [29]. His house was only recently torn down and the mill is still standing [30]. Swan Pond highway passes alongside the place.

1826 Johann Michael Hassler died on September 4 and was buried at Swan Pond United Methodist Church Cemetery, Roane County, Tennessee. [31][32] [33]

1841 Widow Christiana Hosler testified in Roane County, Tennessee to apply for a Revolutionary War pension on April 5. Michael Hosler married Christiana, 1 Dec 1777 in York County, Pennsylvania by Lutheran MG. In 1841 widow, aged 83, resided in Roane Co Ten. R-5095. Family Record. Children born in York County, Pennsylvania: Michael Hosler born 15 Dec 1754 his father and Margaret Hosler his mother born 1754. Michael Hosler Jr, son, born 29 Oct 1778. George Hosler, son, born 2 Feb 1780. Chaterena Hoslerin, daughter, born 8 Dec 1781. Eve Hoslerin, daughter, Aug [dim]. Marget Hoslerin, dau, b 13 Jul 1785. Adam Hosler, son, 10 Dec 1787. Danniel Hosler, son, b 17 Apr 1791. Elizabeth Hoslerin dau b 22 May 1793. Christina Hoslerin, dau, b 25 Mar 1795, Michael Hosler her father and Christina Hasslerin, her mother. John Hassler, son, b 18 Apr 179?[edge frayed]. Abraham Hassler, son, b 5 Jan 1799. [34]

1847 Christiana Maria Geiselman Hassler died on February 3 and was buried at Swan Pond United Methodist Church Cemetery, Roane County, Tennessee. Christiana Maria Geiselman Hassler was born in 1758. [35] [36][37]
