1750 Joseph Hassler, the oldest son of Michael and Margreta Hassler of Codorus Twp, York County, was born in Philadelphia according to the record of his grandson Jacob Hassler of Fort Louden, Pennsylvania. [1] [2]

1773 Joseph Hassler and Anna Maria Lau, perhaps single persons, were sponsors at the baptism of Anna Maria, daughter of Michael and Anna Maria Lau, on September 13 at Wolf's Church, West Manchester, York County, Pennsylvania. [3]

1774 Joseph Hassler inherited 150 acres in Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania upon the death of his father Michael Hassler, where he lived until 1793. [4]

1775 Joseph Hassler married Anna Roemer on May 30, as recorded in the records of the First Reformed Church in York County, Pennsylvania. Their children were baptised in the Reformed churches of York and of the township. They lived for 18 years on the farm in Codorus Twp. [5]

1781 Joseph and Anna Marie Hassler sold land to George Hassler, all of Codorus Twp, York County. Dated August 30. The 4 acre tract was in Codorus Twp adjacent to lands of Sebastian Harleman, Andrew Shettley, and Michael Hassler, and the great road leading from York Town to Baltimore. The tract was part of a larger tract previously owned by Michael Hassler, deceased, father of George and Joseph Hassler. Joseph had inherited the land by the will of Michael Hassler dated February 5, 1774. [31]

1788 Joseph Hassler was on the class list of Capt. George Gieselman's Company [36]

1788 Joseph Hassler granted land to George Hassler in Codorus Twp, York County, for the estate of Michael Hassler. Dated July 7. [37]

1790 John Hassler, son of Joseph Hassler and Anna Maria, was born on July 16. He was baptized on November 7, 1790, in North Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [38]

1790 Joseph Hosler lived in Codorus Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. [39]

1793 Joseph Hassler, wagonmaker, and his wife Anna Maria, of Codorus Twp, York County, sold land to Christian Slough, Northampton County. The land had been owned by Michael Hassler, late of Codorus Twp, deceased. Michael bequeathed land to Joseph Hassler in his will, which was dated February 5, 1774. The land was adjacent to lands of Michale Neuman, Henry Sumeraur, David grier Esq, Andrew Shetler, and others. Witnessed by Abraham Miller and John Doll Jr. Deed dated April 8. [40]

1792 Joseph Hassler sold land to Andrew Heindorf and was named as a wagon-maker. [41]

1793 Joseph Hassler moved to Peters Twp, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Joseph bought 315 acres from Melchior Brindle and 6 acres from William McDowell. [42]

1792-93 Joseph Hosler sold his property and moved to Peter's Twp. Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He died there in 1798 and was buried at the graveyard of the 1st. Reformed Church of Chambersburg. [43]

1797 George Krebs sold land in Codorus Twp to Joseph Hassler on March 20. [44]

1798 Joseph Hassler (born 1783) died on July 14 and was buried at St Thomas Lutheran Cemetery, St Thomas, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. His grave marker records his birthdate, his wife Anna, his 9 children, his death date, and his father Michael. [45] [46] [47]

1800 Mary Hostler lived in Peters Twp, Franklin County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (under 10); and females: 1 (16 thru 25). [48]

Mary Hostler later married James Hamilton.
