Notes for Thomas Bascom and Avis

1605 Based on his estimated date of marriage, Thomas Bascom was born about 1605. [1]

1630 Thomas Bascom married "by about 1630 Avis ____ (assuming she was the mother of all of his children). ... (Since we don't know the date of birth of the child who died in 1647, there may have been a gap of as many as ten years between the first and second children of Thomas Bascom; if this were true, we would suggest that Avis may have been a second wife, and that a possible earlier wife was the mother of Hannah.)" [2]
