1880 Martha Robins (age 30, born in Louisiana, married), wife, lived in Hamilton County, Texas, in a household with Geo. H. Robins (age 44), and sister-in-law C. Pickett (age 24, name crossed out, perhaps Casandra Pickett). Martha Robins's father was born in North Carolina and her mother was born in Georgia. Martha's father, JM Pickett (age 65) was listed adjacent. [9]

1880 Casandra Pickett (age 23, born in Louisiana, single), daughter, lived in Hamilton County, Texas, in a household with J. M. Pickett (age 63), Lisa Pickett (age 55), Whitfield Pickett (age 22), Sallie Pickett (age 19), Virginia Pickett (age 17), and Lucy Pickett (age 12). Casandra Pickett's father was born in North Carolina and her mother was born in Alabama. [10]

"George H. Robbins was the son of George H. Robbins and Phebe Ann Delesdernier, born 20 Apr 1836 in Eastport, Maine. George (Sr) was a sea captain and his voyages included several trips to the West Indies and the Gulf Coast. The subject, George Robbins (Jr), his older sister Frances A. Robbins and a few of their Delesdernier cousins later settled along the Gulf Coast of Texas. According to Boggy Rangers: A Historical Genealogical Study of the Early Robbins Families of Texas by Eugene W. Robbins, George (Jr) married Martha Pickett on 18 Nov 1869 in Robertson County, Texas. The 1880 Census for Hamilton County notes George as a farmer and head of a household consisting of himself, wife Martha and sister-in-law, C. Pickett. Martha's parents and siblings are enumerated next door in that census. The Gazetteer of Hamilton County, Texas notes George H. Robbins as a trustee of the Baptist Church in Hamilton, Hamilton County, when the church bought land to build a new church on in August, 1888. George H. Robbins (Jr) is an eighth generation descendant of Nicholas Robbins who arrived in Massachusetts in 1635. For your pedigree chart, the line of descent from Nicholas Robbins to George H.
