1849 The birth of Gilbert Delahoy Jennings, in Hackney, was registered in the 1850 Jan-Mar birth index.[1]

1866-1868 Gilbert Delahoy Jennings, Amersham Hall, received a matriculation prize of the value of 5£ for the Fifth Candidate in the Honours Division in Jan. 1866 at the University of London. He received first class honors in mathematics in 1866 in the University of London examinations. G. Delahoy Jennings, B.A., University, received second class honours in mathematics and third class honours in mental and moral science in 1868. 1866 The Manchester Guardian (Aug. 16, 1866) reported, "London University. The following are lists of candidates who passed the respective examinations indicated: First B.A. Examination: Examination for Honours.---Mathematics and Mechanical Philosophy: First Class: ... Gilbert Delahoy Jennings, University College"

1868 The Medical Times and Gazette reported that Gilbert Delahoy Jennings, B.A., University College, passed examinations in December 1868 with second class honours in mathematics and natural philosophy and third class honours in logic and moral philosophy.

1898 "Marriages. Jennings-Unwin. On the 10th inst. at Cartbridge Chapel, Woking, by the Rev. Principal Whitehouse, M.A., assisted by the Rev. Alex. Cowe, M.A., Gilbert Delahoy Jennings to Edyth Maria, fourth daughter of George Unwin, Esq. of Heathlands, Maybury, Woking. [2] "Marriage. On the 10th March at Cartbridge Chapel, Woking, by the Rev. Principal Whitehouse, M.A., assisted by the Rev. Alex. Cowe, M.A., Gilbert Delahoy Jennings to Edyth Maria, fourth daughter of George Unwin, Esq. of Heathlands, Maybury, Woking." [3] The marriage was registered in Guildford, Surrey, England. [4] [5]

1899 An essay "Secondary Education and British Trade" by Gilbert D. Jennings was published in R. P. Scott, What is Secondary Education? London: Rivingtons, 1899, p. 85-89.

1901 Gilbert Delahoy Jennings (age 51) and wife Edith Maria Unwin Jennings (age 28) were listed in the census for Chertsey, Surrey, England with son Reginald Anges Jennings (age 2). [6] [7]

1911 Gilbert Delahoy Jennings (age 61) and his wife Edith maria Unwin Jennings (age 38), their daughter Marjorie Delahoy Jennings (age 6), and niece Joyce Toller Unwin (age 11), lived at Tangley Cottage, Walden's Pard Rd, Horsell Woking. [8] Reginald Jennings (age 12) was listed in the census for Chertsey, Surrey, England. [9]

1934 "A memorial service for Sir Albert Spicer was held yesterday morning at Westminster Congregational Church, Buckingham Gate ... Others in the large congregation included ... Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Delahoy Jennings." [10] [11]

1936 Edith M Jennings died at age 63 at Staines, Middlesex, England in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter. [12]

1940 Gilbert D Jennings, age 90, was listed among the deaths registered in January-March, 1940, in Surrey N.W. (England). [13] [14] He died on March 29, and his will was proved on June 3. [15]

Jennings Gilbert Delahoy of Tangley Cottage 35 Walden Park-road Horsell Surrey died 29 March 1940 Probate Ipswich 3 June to Reginald Angus Unwin Jennings schoolmaster and Arthur Delahoy Jennings industrial chemist. Effects £250 14s. 11d.
