1657 On 11 June, an account of the number of cattle turned to the neck recorded [Jeames] James Pine "hath five". [1]

c 1658 [no date recorded] An accounting of the acres of meadow given out in allotments to inhabitants of Hempstead reported James Pine hath 31 acres. [2]

1658 On the last of April, a list of the number of gates [fences?] kept at the neck [Hempstead] reported that James Pine [Jeames pyne] had 14 gates. [3]

1658 On 29 November, tracts of land in Hempstead were ordered to be improved and fenced. James Pine took up 10 acres. [4]

Research Notes:

1730/31 On 6 February, the will of John Kearle, Jr of Hempstead, named father John Kearle Sr, mother Sarah Kearle, wife Ann, children Jacob and Sarah and unborn, brothers-in-law Richard Valentine and James Pine and John Treadwell Jr, all of Hempstead. [5]

In the name of God, Amen, January 25, 1734/35. I, James Pine, of Hempstead, in Queens County, being sick in body, " I direct that the funerals of my body to be such as shall beseem a Christian." I leave to James Pine, Jr., son of William Pine of Hempstead, £70, with all other deeds of rights, titles, and all other effects be now has in his keeping. I leave to Mary Hall, daughter of said William Pine, bed and bedding and other things in her keeping; Also £48. To Elizabeth Hall, daughter of said William Pine, £20. To Sarah Smith, daughter of William Pine, £20. To Daniel Pine, son of John Pine, 10 shillings. I leave all the rest to James Pine, Jr., son of William Pine, and to Elizabeth Hall, Sarah Hall, aud Mary Hall, all daughters of said William Pine. I make James Pine, Jr., and Joseph Hall, Jr., executors. Witnesses, John Carpenter, James Ward, Mordecai Lester. Proved, September 19, 1737. [6]
