1778-1780 The names of several son and sons-in-law of Christian Good appeared on a list of fines (cash received of delinguents for non-performance of militia duty and exercise) in Lancaster County [15] in Col. David Jenkin's Battalion [16]: Michael Wenger; Henry, Jacob, and Peter Good; Christian Swartz; Henry Good; Samuel, Peter, Jacob, Christian Good; and George Klopper [17]

1786 Christian Good and wife Barbara were named as heirs in the will of Joseph Brand. Anna Brand, widow of Joseph Brand, deceased, late of Paxton Twp, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, and John Brand and Freny his wife & Joseph Brand & Samuel Brand all of the same state and John Oberholtser & Elizabeth his wife & John Gingery & Freny his wife both of the township of Lebanon & Christian Good & Barbara his wife and Samuel Good & Mary his wife and Abraham Brand all of the township of Brecknock in the county of Lancaster & John Roads & Catharina his wife and Magdalena Brand and Susanna Brand & Regina Brand, of one part and Christian Swartz of the township of Paxton, Dauphin County of the other part, were parties to a deed dated March 1. Joseph Brand, deceased, had purchased land from Samuel and Andrew Hannah in 1766. Joseph died intestate and the tract became property of the widow and children of Joseph, parties to the deed, to wit: Anna Brand the widow of the late Joseph Brand, John Brand, Joseph Brand, Samuel Brand, John Oberholser who married Elizabeth one of the daughters, John Gingery who married Freny another daughter, Christian Good who married Barbara another daughter, Abraham Brand, John Road who married Catharina another daughter, Magdalena Brand, Susanna Brand, and Regina Brand. Christian Swartz purchased the tract from the heirs. The tract was bounded by lands of Alexander McClure, John Neisly, Richard McClure, Henry McKinsey, James Harris, John Means?, James Lusk (now Patrick Lusk). Affirmed before the clerk by John Neisly and others and by several of the parties to the deed in in 1792. In 1795, John Eirely and Regina his wife, late Brand, appeared. [23]

1789 Christian Good was listed as an heir of Christian Good, deceased, in Lancaster County Orphans Court records dated August 5. [24]

1793 Christian Good was listed on the septennial census in 1793 in Breckneck Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [25]

1800 Christian Good was listed on the septennial census in 1800 in Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [26]

1803 Christian Guth old was taxed in Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania with 150 acres. [27]

1810 Christian Goad lived in Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 2 (under 10), 1 (26 thru 44), and 1 (45 and over); and females: 1 (16 thru 25), 2 (26 thru 44), and 1 (45 and over). [28] John Burket (son-in-law?) was listed adjacent.

1812 Christian Good died at age 68 on January 16 and was buried at Pine Grove Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Christian Good was born on January 28, 1744. [29] [30] [31]

1812 The will of Christian Good was dated October 10, 1807 and was probated August 6, 1812 in Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Wife Barbara. Children Christian, Magdalena, Mary, Barbara, Elizabeth, Esther, and Catharine. Executors Christian Guth and John Burkert. [32] [33] [34]

1813 A deed named Joseph Horst and wife Magdalena (late Good); David Martin and wife Mary (late Good) of Salisbury Twp, Lancaster County; Peter Burket and wife Barbara (late Good) of Caernarvon Twp; John Burket and wife Elizabeth (late Good); Hesther Good and Catharine Good of Brecknock Twp; being the children and heirs named in the will of Christian Good late of Brecknoch Twp, Lancaster County. They acknowledged payment from the estate and released Christian Good and John Burket, executors, from further claims. Dated March 6. [35] [36]

1822 Barbara (Brandt) Good died, at age 75, on May 20. [37] [38]

1846 On 16 September, (daughter) Catherine Good, single woman, with tenants in common, blacksmith Daniel and Nancy Palm transferred land to Samuel Good, all of Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The land was granted on 15 April 1826 to Catherine and her sister Esther, as tenants in common but not as joint tenants, by (Christian and Barbara's son) Christian, since deceased, and Maria Good. The land was adjacent to land of Peter Beam Jr, and Samuel Peltz(?), and Christian Schneider, and Christian Good. Esther Good died with will dated 5 August 1838 which described the land purchased by Esther and Catherine from brother Christian. Esther bequeathed the land after her death to sister Catherine and after Catherine's death to brother Christian, and to sisters Magdalene Horst wife of Joseph Horst and Elizabeth Burkhard wife of John Burkhard. The devisees of Esther Good's will were Joseph (son of son Christian) and wife Barbara Good, John and wife Mary Shirk, Joseph Horst, David Horst, Elizabeth Horst, Daniel (son of son Christian) Good, Samuel and wife Esther (daughter of son Christian) Good, Gideon and wife Susanna (daughter of son Christian) Weaver, John and wife Elizabeth Burkhard sold some of the land to Daniel Palm in 1846. This land was sold by Catherine Good and Daniel and Nancy Palm to Samuel Good for $100. [39]

Research Notes:

Pennsylvania Mennonite Vital Records report that Christian Good (1744-1812) married Barbara Brandt, but report John Good and Barbara Bauman as his parents. [40]
