1850 Jacob Mesmore (age 12, born in Indiana) lived in Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana, in a household with Mathew Willaims (age 38), Catherine Willaims (age 37), Alvin Mesmore (age 10), Susanah Mesmore (age 7), and Hannah Mesmore (age 5). [1]

1860 Susannah Messmore (age 21, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana, in a household with Jacob Messmore (age 22), Jay C Messmore (age 1), and Orr B Messmore (age 4/12). Susannah's father Christian Rivir was listed adjacent. [2]

1870 Susana Masemore (age 29, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana, in a household with Jacob Masemore (age 32), Jay Masemore (age 11), Orr Masemore (age 10), Rosie Masemore (age 8), Frank Masemore (age 5), Asberry Masemore (age 3), and Sprague Masemore (age 1). [3]

1880 Jacob Mascemore (age 42, born in Indiana, married) lived in Raymond Twp, Rice County, Kansas, in a household with Susan Mascemore (age 40), Frank Mascemore (age 15), Wise Mascemore (age 13), Sprague Mascemore (age 11), Violet Mascemore (age 9), Willie Mascemore (age 5), Annie Mascemore (age 3), and Pearl Mascemore (age 1). Jacob Mascemore's father was born in Maryland and his mother was born in Ohio. Jacob Mascemore's occupation was land agent. [4]

1885 J Masemore (age 47, born in Indiana, married) lived in Rice County, Kansas, in a household with S L Masemore (45), F M Masemore (20), W A Masemore (17), S V Masemore (15), Violet Masemore (13), W M Masemore (11), Annie Masemore (7), Pearl Masemore (5), and Harry Masemore (2). [5]

1892 Jacob Masemore died on February 13, at age 54y 3m 10d, and was buried at Hilltop Cemetery, Raymond, Rice County, Kansas. [6] [7]

1892 Susannah Masemore died on April 20 and was buried at Hilltop Cemetery, Raymond, Rice County, Kansas.[8] [9]

A biosketch of son Frank reported [10]:

F. M. Masemore. Business success and enterprise at Sterling, Kansas, have an able representative in the subject of this review, F N Masemore, who is engaged in general merchandising at Ft. Smith and Knoxville, Arkansas, and in the real estate business at Sterling, Kansas. He came to Rice county in 1878, when a young man, and has since been an important factor in the upbuilding and improvement of his locality. He is a native of Noble County, Indiana, born near Albion, March 8, 1865. His father, Jacob Masemore, was also a native of Indiana, and in August 1878, he took up his abode in Rice county, Kansas, becoming a leading merchant and business man at Raymond. His death occurred there at the age of fifty-four years, and his wife is also deceased. They were the parents of the following children: J C, a prominent resident of Kremlin, Oklahoma; O B, of Waukomis, Oklahoma; Mrs E J Mudge, a resident of Lajunta, Colorado; F N, the subject of this review; S V, who makes his home in Raymond; Anna Warner, of Peach Springs, Arizona; William, a resident of Kremlin, Oklahoma; Mrs Becker, of Rice county, Kansas; Harry, also of Kremlin; and Mrs C W Becker, who died in Rice county. Jacob Masemore was a local minister in the Methodist Episcopal church, and he accomplished much for the welfare of his fellow men. His wife was also a member of that denomination and was an able assistant to him in his work.

F N Masemore, whose name introduces this review, attended schools of Noble county, Indiana. He was a youth of fourteen years when he came with his parents to Rice county, Kansas, and he has ever since been an important factor in the progress and advancement which have wrought a wonderful transformation here. For a number of years, he has been engaged in general merchandising at Raymond, carrying a complete line of dry goods, boots and shoes and everything to be found in a first-class establishment of that character. He is now extensively engaged in the real-estate business, and in both branches he is meeting with a high and well merited degree of success.

In 1887 Mr Masemore was united in marriage to Miss Sadie Bailey, a daughter of W J Bailey, of Galena, Illinois. She was called to her final rest on the 22nd of December, 1897, leaving three children, - Lotta, Willis and Verna. On the 19th of April, 1899, Mr Masemore was again married, his second union being with Miss Josie B Specht, who was reared and educated in Rice county, Kansas, a daughter of Robert Specht, one of the prominent and early settlers of this locality. Mr Masemore affiliates with the Democratic party and socially is connected with the Masonic fraternity. He was made a Knight Templar in 1899, is a member of Sterling Commandery, No. 47, and was made a thirty-second degree Mason in 1897. The history of Mr Masemore cannot fail to be of wide spread interest, for he ranks high in commercial circles in the Sunflower state, which has given to the Union some of its most eminent professional and business men.

1915 Frank Nelson Masemore died on December 19 at Savannah, Andrew County, Missouri and was buried at Lakin Comanche Cemetery, Ellinwood, Barton County, Kansas. Frank Nelson Masemore was born on March 8, 1865. [11] [12]

1918 Harry Rivir Mesmore registered for the draft in Cowley County, Kansas. He was born on November 14, 1882. He had characteristics: Black hair, Hazel eyes, Slender build, and Short height. His nearest relative was Susie Mesmore. [13]

1918 Willard Martin Masemore registered for the draft in Baca County, Colorado. He was born on September 29, 1874. He had characteristics: Black hair, Blue eyes, Stout build, and Short height. His nearest relative was Daisy Masemore. [14]

1920 Willard Masemore (age 45, born in Indiana, married) lived in Grand View, Baca County, Colorado, in a household with Daisy Masemore (40), Howard Baugh (16), Naoma Baugh (11), and Minnie Baugh (8). Willard Masemore's father was born in Indiana and his mother was born in Pennsylvania. Willard Masemore could read and write. Willard Masemore was a farmer. [15]

1921 Sprague Vinton Masemore died on June 26 and was buried at Hilltop Cemetery, Raymond, Rice County, Kansas. Sprague Vinton Masemore was born on January 31, 1869. [16] [17] [18]

1923 Orr B. Macemore, married, son of Jacob Macemore and Susana Reevers, spouse of Susana Macemore, died, at age 62, on February 25, 1923, in Snohomish Twp, Snohomish County, Washington. [19] [20] [21]

1937 Willard Martin Masemore applied for social security. He was born on September 29, 1874 in Albion, Indiana, son of Jacob Masemore and Sussana L Rivir. [22]

1940 Williard M Masemore (age 65, born in Indiana, divorced) lived in Ochelata, Washington County, Oklahoma. The highest grade of school he had completed was Elementary school, 8th grade. [23]

1942 Harry Rivir Masemore registered for the draft in Kaw City County, Oklahoma. He was born on November 14, 1882. [24]

1957 Willard Martin Masemore, spouse of Ella, died on June 4 in Tulsa. He had lived at 5147 W 12th St. He was born in Indiana. Brother Harry R of Kaw City and sister Mrs Anna Warner of Denver survived him. [25]

1958 Harry R Masemore died in March and was buried at Fairlawn Cemetery, Stillwater, Payne County, Oklahoma. Harry R Masemore was born in 1882. [26] [27]

1961 Anna Amelia Masemore Warner died on June 6 at Colorado and was buried at Crown Hill Cemetery, Wheat Ridge, Jefferson County, Colorado. Anna Amelia Masemore Warner was born on February 4, 1877. [28] [29]

Research Notes:

c 1838 Jacob C Messmore was reportedly born in Indiana and then married to Susanna Laurette Rivir born in Pennsylvania, USA. Jacob's parents are reported as Benjamin and Catherine Eymann Masemore (name reported as Rivier).

1857 Susanna Lauretta Rivir and Jacob Masemore reportedly were married on September 7, 1857 in Noble County, Indiana. Obituaries report their marriage in 1857. [30]
