Research Notes:

Several attempts have been made, many with errors, to identify the relationships among the descendants of Wendel Bowman (c1681-c1735), father of this Christian Bowman (1702-1735). We show the relationships as described by Emmert Bittinger [18], who reviewed prior research and considered new evidence. We seek further documentation to further clarify or correct these relationships.

See Mennonite card file: [19]

Several researchers name Barbara Hite/Heydt as the spouse of Christian. We seek evidence to clarify this potential relationship.
