Research Notes:

c 1755 John Ebersole was reported born about 1754-55 [1] [2]. He was born in Donegal Twp, Lancaster County [3].

1777 John Ebersole was taxed as a freeman in Lancaster County. [4]

John Ebersole married Elizabeth Blaser [5] or Bossler [6] [7] [8]

1782 John Eversole was listed for taxes in Donegal Twp, Lancaster County (236 acres). Two Jacob Eversoles were also taxed (perhaps John's brother and father). [9]

1785 John Eversole and wife Elizabeth of Donegal Twp, Lancaster County, sold land, on April 14, that John had inherited, as oldest son, from his father, who had patented the land on September 8, 1773 [10]. [11]

1786 John Ebersole, Jacob Ebersole Junior, Martin Ebersole, Jacob Ebersole (smith), John Ebersole, Jacob Ebersole, and Christian Ebersole were listed in the Pennsylvania Septennial census of Donegal Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [12]

1787 Jacob Ebersole's heirs were parties to a deed, dated March 9, settling Jacob's estate in Donegal Twp, according to intestate law. John Ebersole and Elizabeth his wife, Christian Ebersole and Magdalena his wife, Martin Ebersole and Barbara his wife, and Daniel Ebersole sold their shares of the estate to son Jacob Ebersole, all of Donegal Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. 1787 John Eversole, wagonmaster of Donegal Twp, purchased land in Donegal Twp from David Bechtel on April 10. The land was adjacent to lands of Abraham Stouffer, John Heagy, Ludwick Reinhart, and James Anderson. [14]

1790 John Ebersole was listed on the muster role of Captain James Cook's company, second battalion, Colonel Hugh Peden, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [15]

1791 John Eversol, wagonmaker, and wife Elizabeth, of Donegal Twp, sold land, on March 19, to Brice Clark. John Eversol had purchased the land from David Bechtel in 1787. [16]

1793 Daniel Ebersole, John Ebersole, Jacob Ebersole Senior, Martin Ebersole, Jacob Ebersole (smith), Jacob Ebersole, and Christian Ebersole were listed in the Pennsylvania Septennial census of Donegal Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [17]

1799 John Eversole was granted land in Donegal Twp by Andrew Simp, on October 30. [18]

1800 Elizabeth, wife of John Ebersole, perhaps this one, was named as a daughter in the will of Mathias Blasser in Donegal Twp. [19]

1800 Jacob Ebersole, John Ebersole, Martin Ebersole, Christian Ebersole, and Benjamin Ebersole were listed in the Pennsylvania Septennial census of Donegal Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [20]

1814 John Ebersole died. [21]

John Ebersole and wife were buried in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. [22]
