Notes for Jacob Mellinger Ebersole and Barbara Kauffman

1787 Jacob Ebersole was born on August 29. [1]

1792 Barbara Kauffman was born on October 27. [2]

1814 Jacob Ebersole (the elder) and his wife Frances of Donegal Twp sold land to Jacob Ebersole Jr; dated March 15. The land was next to land intended to be conveyed to David Ebersole and land of Henry B Grub, Jacob Weaver, Christian Stoner, Henry Derr, and John Kauffman. Jacob Ebersol purchased the land from Frederick and Elizabeth Gelbaugh in 1801 [3]. [4]

1814 Jacob Ebersole married Barbara Kauffman on March 9. [5] [6]

1828 Jacob Ebersohl, of Donegal Twp, Lancaster County dated his will on January 6. The will named his four living children: David Ebersohl, Jacob Ebersohl, Maria (the wife of C. Stoner), and Veronica (the wife of Jacob Ebersohl). [7]

1831 Christian Stoner, perhaps Jacob's brother-in-law, sold land to Jacob, on April 20, that Christian had purchased from Jacob's father on March 15, 1814 [8]. [9]

1846 Jacob and Barbara Ebersole, of Conoy Twp, Lancaster County, sold land, on November 17, including that land purchased from Christian Stoner in 1831, to Christian Eversole, perhaps their son. [10]

1850 Jacob Ebersole (age 63) and Barbara (age 58) lived in Conoy Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania with Michael (age 33), Henry (age 19), Barbara (age 16) and Ann (age 11), all born in Pennsylvania. [11] [12]

1851 Jacob Ebersole, the elder, and Barbara, of Conoy Twp, Lancaster County, sold land, on June 8, to Jacob Ebersole the younger. The land was part of two tracts that Jacob Ebersole and Frances (grandparents of Jacob Ebersole the younger) had granted to their children: Jacob Ebersole the elder and son-in-law Christian Stoner. [13]

1858 Barbara Kauffman Ebersole died on September 28, at age 66. [14]

1860 Jacob Ebersole (age 72, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Conoy Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Sarah Ebersole (26), and Michal Ebersole (42). Jacob Ebersole was a retired farmer. [15]

1870 Jacob Ebersole (age 82, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Conoy Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Anna Ebersole (32), and Michael Ebersole (50). Jacob Ebersole was a domestic servant. [16]

1873 Jacob Ebersole died on September 25. [17]
