1843 Sanders A Reed married Caroline Teller on October 28, in Marion County, Ohio. [1] [2]

1845 Sanders A Reed, perhaps this Sanders or his father, purchased lot 75 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio for $26. "Upper Sandusky, a town laid out by the General Government, is delightfully situated on the Sandusky River, near the center of the Wyandot Reserve, and the seat of justice of the new county of Wyandot has been permanently fixed at said town." Dated August 20. [3] [4]

1849 Election results for Wyandot County reported that Saunders A Reed, Whig, got 677 votes for coroner when he lost to the Democrat John N Reed. Dated October 9. [5]

1850 Sanders A Reed (age 32, born in Virginia) lived in Pitt Twp, Wyandot County, Ohio, in a household with Caroline S Reed (23), Clearchus Reed (7), Viola Reed (1), and Vilena Reed (1). Sanders A Reed was a cabinet maker. [6]

1853 Sanders A Reed was granted lot 75 in the town of Upper Sandusky in Wyandot County, Ohio, by the commissioners of Wyandot County. Dated March 9. [7] [8]

1853 Sanders A Reed purchased lot 337 in Wyandot County, Ohio from Charles B Garrett. Dated April 1. [9]

1853 Sanders A Reed and wife Caroline S Reed sold lot 75 in Upper Sandusky, Wyandot County, Ohio, to John Merriman on May 14. [10]

1860 S A Reed (age 42, born in Virginia) lived in Pitt Twp, Wyandot County, Ohio, in a household with C S Reed (35), Clarence Reed (14), Viola Reed (11), Flora Reed (8), Ira Reed (4), Ida Reed (4), and Arthur Reed (). S A Reed was a farm laborer. [11]

1861-65 Sanders A Reed served as a private in Company D of the 15th Regiment, Ohio Infantry of the Union Army. [12] Enlisted in Company D, Ohio 15th Infantry Regiment on 07 Apr 1865.Mustered out on 21 Nov 1865. [13]

1861-65 Sanders A Reed served in the 56th Regiment, Illinois Infantry (Mechanic Fusileers) of the Union Army. [14]

1875 S.A. Reed (age 56), carpenter, and children Ida (age 18, born Ohio), Minnie (age 8, born Ohio), and Effie (age 5, born Iowa) lived in Cutler Twp, Franklin County, Kansas. [15]

1880 S.A. Reed (age 62), carpenter, and wife Annie E (age 20) lived in Harrison Twp, Franklin County, Kansas with son Ottie, born Nov. [16][17]

1880 Ida Reed (age 22) and Minnie Reed (age 13) lived in the household of Harry Hall in Sioux City, Woodbury, Iowa. [18]

1880 Sanders A. Reed filed for a Civil War pension. Company D, Regiment 15, Ohio Infantry. [19] [20] [21]

1882 Wm H Mcmullen, age 33, and Ida May Reed, age 26, were married on August 5 in Woodbury County, Iowa. Wm H Mcmullen was a child of A Mcmullen and E Parker. Ida May Reed was a child of S A Reed and Carrie Teller. [22]

1895 S.A. Reed (age 77) lived in Franklin County, Kansas. [23]

1896 Sanders A Reed died on April 22, 1896. He last lived at Leavenworth, Kansas (P. O. Box 1694 4101 S. 4th St, Traffic Way, zip 66048). S. A. Reed (Co. O, 15 Ohio Inf) was buried April 22, 1896 at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth County, Kansas [24] [25]. The Leavenworth, Kansas Veterans Center Death Register about Saunders A. Reed reports his death on April 22, 1896 at age 79 of typhoid fever. Place of Death: Hosp. Ward 2. Grave: 1122. Registration 8842. Organization: D, 15 Ohio Infantry.
