Samuel Gehman and Veronica Gehman lived near Adamstown. Prior to 1848, when the first Gehman Meeting House was built, church services were held at their house. They spent their last years with a daughter in Berks County. Samuel and Veronica Gehman are buried in Allegheny Mennonite graveyard. [1]

1850 Samuel Gehman (age 62) and Fanny Gehman (age 52) lived in Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [2]

1860 Samuel Gehman (age 74) and Fanny Gehman (age 63) lived in Cumru Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania. [3]

c 1869-1870 Veronica Gehman died at age 72y 3m 16d and was buried at Allegheny Mennonite Cemetery, Alleghenyville, Berks County, Pennsylvania. [4]

1870 Samuel Gehman (age 82) lived in Cumru Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania. [5]

1872 Samuel Gehman died at age 84y 26d and was buried at Allegheny Mennonite Cemetery, Alleghenyville, Berks County, Pennsylvania. [6]

Research Notes:

Some researchers name Christian Bowman [7] as the father of Veronica. We seek evidence to support or refute this hypothesis.
