Christian Gehman served as a minister in Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County, for many years. [1]
Christian Gehman was ordained to the ministry of the Gospel in 1817. Christian Gehman was a wheelwright by trade and had a very limited education. After his ordination he placed his Bible on his workbench and studied while he worked. Soon he became an able minister, preaching the Word with power. Barbara Gehman was the mother of 13 children, sixty-two grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. They are buried in Gehman's Mennonite Cemetery. [2]
