1846 Jacob Stoner (of John) was a single freeman in North Woodberry Twp, Pennsylvania.

1850 Joseph Bowers (age 23) and sister Mary Bowers (age 29) lived in North Woodbury, Blair County, Pennsylvania with Jacob Stoner (age 30) and Julian Viant (age 18). [1]

1850 Susan Kurts (age 20) lived in the household of Thomas Kurts (age 40). Sarah Kurts (age 10) was in the household. [2]

1860 Jacob Stoner (age 42) and Susan Stoner (age 33 lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana with William (age 3, born Indiana) and Sarah Kurtz (age 21) and Leopland Burlingcormt (age 23). [3]

1862 On 17 September, Jacob Stoner enlisted in Company H, Pennsylvania 57th Infantry Regiment on 17 Sep 1862.Mustered out on 01 Jun 1865. [4]

1870 Jacob Stoner (age 50) and Susan Stoner (age 40/50) lived in Martinsburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania with William (age 12) and Levi (age 10). [5]

1880 Jacob Stoner (age 54) and Susan Stoner (age 52) lived in Freedom and Wheatland, Ellis County, Kansas with William (age 23), Levy (age 20), and niece Sarah Kurtz (age 42). [6]

1889 Jacob Stoner was listed as a Civil War veteran in Kansas, for service as a private in Company H, regiment 57, Pennsylvania Volunteers. He was wounded at Vicksburg. He lived in Ellis County, Kansas. [7]

1890 On May 8, Susan Stoner (born 18 August, 1827), wife of Jacob Stoner, died and was buried at Mount Allen Cemetery, Hays, Ellis County, Kansas. [8]

1895 Jacob Stoner (age 76) lived in Wheatland, Ellis County, Kansas with Sussia Kurst (age 50). [9]

1898 On 27 November, Jacob Stoner (born 1820), private 57 Regt, PA vol. Inft., died at age 78y 9m 29d, and was buried at Mount Allen Cemetery, Hays, Ellis County, Kansas. [10]
