Notes for August Heinrich Franke and Maria Magdalene Stoner

1749 Maria Magdalene Steiner, daughter of Abraham and Maria Steiner, was baptized on January 15, 1749 by J.C.F. Cammerhoff, at the Moravian Church in Bethlehem, Northampton County. [1]

August Heinrich Franke came to America in 1754. He came to Schoeneck in Northampton County in 1778 and was a tailor by occupation.

Maria Magdalena came to Bethlehem, PA, with her parents and siblings in 1748 and was baptized in the Moravian Congregation there in 1749. She was married to August Heinrich Franke by Brother Thrane of the Moravian Congregation. They moved to Schoeneck in 1778.

1762 Maria Magdal. Steiner and August Herman Francke were married on January 21 at the Moravian Church in Bethlehem Twp, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. [2]

August Heinrich Franke died at the age of 72 years and four months. A record of his death and burial appear in the "Sterbe Register" of the Moravian Church, Schoeneck, in Book 2, pg. 102, Item #34. (Original records at Moravian Archives, Bethlehem, PA)
