1753 Anna Herr, daughter of Henry Herr and Esther Hershey, was born on October 12. She married Christian Kauffman. [1] [2]

1773 Christian Kauffman and Anna Herr, daughter of Henry and Esther Herr, were married on August 4, at St James Church, Lancaster. [3] [4] [5]

1779 Christian Kauffman the younger of Hempfield purchased land in Hempfield Twp from Abraham and Henry Witmer on March 3. [6]

1780 The will of Henry Herr (wife Esther) of Lancaster Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania was dated 24 May 1780 and named son-in-law Christian Kauffman, perhaps this one. Children: Rudolph, Abraham, and Christian. Executor: John Erisman [7]. 1785 On May 4, Benjamin Hershey and Jacob Kilheffer affirmed that they witnessed the will of Henry Hare Senior of Lancaster Twp, Lancaster County. The will was written in German. [8]

1784 Christian Kauffman Jr and wife Elizabeth sold land to Caspar Lutz/Lutes, on November 12. The land was the same as the land father Christian Sr had sold to Christian Jr in 1776. [9]

1784 Christian Kauffman Jr and Elizabeth his wife sold land, on November 12, to John Barnhart, all of Manor Twp, Lancaster County. The land was next to land of James Patton, John Steaman, Abraham Stouffer, and the Susquehanna River. The land had been purchased from Abraham and Henry Witmer. [11]
