Chauncey Baughman married Bessie Friskney. [3]

1920 Chauncey Baughman (age 33, born in Indiana, married) lived in Noble, Noble County, Indiana, in a household with Bessie Baughman (age 32), Ruth Baughman (age 5), and John Baughman (age 3). Chauncey Baughman's father was born in Ohio and his mother was born in Indiana. Chauncey Baughman could read and write. Chauncey Baughman was a farmer. [4]

1930 Chauncey C Baughman (age 44, born in Indiana, married, first married at age 27) lived in Noble, Noble County, Indiana, in a household with Bessie Baughman (age 41), Ruth G Baughman (age 15), and John F Baughman (age 14). Chauncey C Baughman's father was born in Ohio and his mother was born in Indiana. Chauncey C Baughman's occupation was farming. Chauncey C Baughman's residence was on a farm. The residence did not have a radio. [5]

1961 Chauncey Baughman died of stomach cancer and Bessie of a blood clot within 12 hours of each other. They had a double funeral. The Friskney's were a large family in the county and still are a very large family. [Source: Penny North]

1961 Chauncey Clayton Baughman, widowed, died on May 22, at age 75, in Columbia, Whitley County, Indiana. He was born on December 1, 1885, in Indiana, son of John A Baughman and Mellissa Jane Baughman. [6]

1961 Chauncey C Baughman died "about 75, died at 2:00 p.m. May 22, 1961 at Whitley County Hospital less than 24 hours following the death of his wife, Bessie, 72. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Engle, R. 4, Columbia City; two sons, John and Gene of Churubusco; and nine grandchildren. He is survived by a brother, Clyde, of Boulder, Colo., and two sisters; and she is survived by three brothers. Double services will be at Burr Oak Baptist Church today. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery. + 5-?-1961" [7]

1961 "Chauncey C. Baughman, 75, retired Noble County farmer, died at 2 p.m. Monday in the Whitley County Hospital, Columbia City, less than 24 hours after the death of his wife, Bessie, 72, also in the hospital. Surviving the couple are a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Engle, R.R. 4 Columbia City; two sons, John and Gene E, both of Churubusco; nine grandchildren. Mr. Baughman is also survived by a brother and two sisters and Mrs. Baughman is survived by three brothers. The bodies are at the Krider Funeral Home. Friends may call until noon on Thursday when they will be taken to the Burr Oak Baptist Church for double rites at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Christian Chapel Cemetery, near Merriam." [8] [9] [10]
