1848 Frederick Wise, of South Middleton, Cumberland County, purchased land (lot No. 8) from the Presbyterian Congregation in Carlisle, Dickinson Twp, Cumberland County on December 5. [5] [6]

1849 John Frederick Wise, son of Frederick Wise of South Middleton Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, died at age 3 years, 2 months, 27 days on February 22. [7]

1850 Fredrick Weise (age 25) lived in Carlisle Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Maria Weise (age 26), Joseph Weise (age 3), and Jane Weise (age 1). [8]

1852 Matilda Cath. Weise, daughter of Fredk. Weise and Maria, was born on September 7. She was baptized on October 17, 1852 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. [9]

1856 On April 1, Frederick Wise and his wife Maria E sold land to Robert Mone. Frederick had purchased the land from the Presbyterian Church in 1849. [11]

1859 On April 1, Frederick Wise, of South Middleton, Cumberland County, purchased land from John Lutz. [12]

1859 Abner Luther Wise, son of Fred. Wise and Maria, was born on March 21. He was baptized on May 19, 1860 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. [13]

1860 Frederick Wise (age 45, born in Pennsylvania) lived in South Middleton Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Maria Wise (age 35), Joseph Wise (age 14), Jane Wise (age 12), Matilda Wise (age 10), and Abner Wise (age 1). [14]

1890 Frederick Wise of South Middleton, died on August 2. Letters of administration were issued August 20, 1890 to executors Edward Wise and Peter D Gottshall. Will T-11, # 389. [22]

1890 The will of Frederick Wise of South Middleton was dated 18 July 1890 with probate on 20 August, 1890. Wife, unnamed and children Joseph Wise, Edward Wise, Jane wife of John Spidel, and Matilda wife of Peter Gutshall were named. Son Edward and son-in-law Peter Gutshall were named executors. [23]

1891 Maria E Wise, wife of Frederick, died on January 26 at age 66y 9m 14d. [24] [25]

Frederick and Maria E Wise were buried in the My Holly Springs cemetery with son Joseph T Wise, Co F, 101st PA Infantry. [26] [27]

1922 Jane Mary Spidle, daughter of Fred Wise and Mariah Lobach, died, at age 73 on July 10, 1922, in Dickinson Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. Jane Mary Spidle was born on September 18, 1848, in Pennsylvania. (Death certificate: 68862). [28]

1936 Edward Wise, son of Frederick Wise and Mariah Loback, spouse of Barbara Smith Wise, died, at age 73 on May 21, 1936, in Spangsville Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. Edward Wise was born on September 1, 1863, in Pennsylvania. (Death certificate: 49410). [29]
