1812 William Wise, son of John Jacob Wise, was born. [1]

1830 William Wise (age 15-20) and female (age 20-23), possibly this couple, lived in South Middleton Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania with one male and one female child (age 0-5). [2]

1833 William Wise married Rebecca Brechbill, daughter of Frederick and Anna M Brechbill of South Middleton. They lived with William's parents until 1869. [3]

1850 William Weise (age 37, born in Pennsylvania) lived in South Middleton Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Rebecca Weise (age 35), Mary Weise (age 15), Jacob Weise (age 13), Henrietta Weise (age 11), Elizabeth Weise (age 9), William Weise (age 7), Clarisa Weise (age 5), and Catharine Weise (age 0). [4]

1858 The home of W. Wise was shown on a map of South Middleton Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. [5]

1860 William Wise (age 47, born in Pennsylvania) lived in South Middleton Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Rebecca Wise (age 45), Ann M Wise (age 25), Jacob Wise (age 23), Henrietta Wise (age 21), Elizabeth Wise (age 19), William Wise (age 16), Catharine Wise (age 10), and John P Wise (age 4). [6]

1862 Wm Wise Sr, of South Middletown, [Cumberland County], Pennylvania, was taxed for a "rockaways" valued at $75. [7]

1869 William Wise moved to Boiling Springs. [8]

1869 A public sale was held for personal property of William Wise of South Middleton.

1869 William Wise died at his home in Boiling Springs, South Middleton Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. "In 1869, at Boiling Springs, Pa, passed away one of Cumberland County's representative men, at his home in that town. For many years he was an honored and respected citizen, and his loss was deeply felt by many outside the home circle." (Newspaper) He died in November of consumption. [10] On Saturday the 6th instant in South Middleton Twp, William Wise [died]. [11] [12]

1869 William Wise died on November 6, 1869, at age 56y 3m 24d, and was buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery. [13]

1870 Rebecca Wise (age 55, born in Pennsylvania) lived in South Middleton Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Mary Wise (age 37), Lizzie Wise (age 29), Kate Wise (age 20), John P Wise (age 14), and Elizabeth Erben (age 71). [15]

1871 In March, John P. Wise, a minor son, over age 14, of William Wise, deceased, petitioned the Orphans' Court in Cumberland County for a guardian. [16]

1877 Rebecca Wise, born April 10, 1815, wife of William Wise, died on July 25 and was buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery. [17]

1919 Elizabeth Wise, daughter of William Wise and Rebecca Brechbill, died on April 15, at Monroe, Bedford County, Pennsylvania. John P. Wise was the informant. [18]
